I love my new Dell Inspiron One 2305. The ease of setup and getting started was great and I love, love, love only having ONE cord to get it going. This is my first wireless keyboard and can't believe I waited this long to get one! The huge screen is wonderful. Some people talk about a hum in the speakers, I have none of that in mine. I would recommend it to a friend if they asked and when my kids are ready for their own computers, they will be getting one like this.
Originally, we ordered this PC in order to get rid of all of the wires. We love the wireless applications. I never really thought that I needed a 23 inch screen, but the definition is wonderful. On some websites, they don't do the screen justice because you only see the middle of the screen, but when I watch Xfinity or Netflix movies, or tv shows, I love the picture. The downside is the webcam. It is a 1.3 megapixel which could be better for this type of device. The speakers are perfect for me. Overall, I am very glad that we purchased this item.
Purchased top of the line for my husband. He has Parkinson's and i thought the touch screen might help him but he couldn't adjust to the new computer (or his smart phone) so he gave it to me. I am a former programmer and aerospace designer. I find the machine to be fast. I don't use the touch screen much because I find the position awkward and would love to lay it down to use. I DO NOT USE LAPLINK to transfer files. I tried it once on a different and Norton 360 showed over 200 registry errors. Now I install the software on any new computer and copy my files with a Terabyte External Hard Drive. I do high end, high resolution graphics using Adobe Master Suite and it renders faster than any other computer that I have used. My husband is a musician and I am also a sound engineer. With the right software, again Adobe, the CDs we have produced are awesome. I run Norton 360 which prevents both viruses and spyware. If you have a problem it is most likely related to software or user inexperience. Most likely using Laplink to transfer files and software. I am running Windows 7 Professional with the 64 bit operating system.
I purchased this computer - Dell Inspirion 23 inch touch screen - for my grandson for his birthday because he wanted a desktop to play his internet based games on (world of warcraft). I really wish I would have purchased it for myself because it is an amazing computer, the touchscreen is great and we can move it from his room to the living room very easily! Absolutely LOVE it!
This computer is excellent. The 23" screen is amazing. I have never had a computer work this great for me. It comes with all the latest features like, touch screen, voice activation, windows 7, microsoft office and a lot more. This computer is fast and very efficient. I highly recommend it.
I never thought I'd buy a Dell PC. But, after reading about the Inspiron One 2305, I decided to. With a 3 yr old at home, what better way to get a child interested than with a touch screen. My daughter loves it and actually Daddy does too, lol. So much that I got 2-2305's. The Performance for my wife and daughters, the Premium for me. I am an admitted build and or spec your own guy, but I highly recommend either of the 2 2305's I got. Mine games well with no hitches and my 3 yr old loves the You paint program and lots of the touch games. Free your custom built snob and give the 2305's a try.
Cons - Limited expandability, there is no external video port to add a second monitor. Sound is unimpressive. Tends to run fairly hot (140+ F) having pretty small fans.
So sorry I happened upon this one. Have only had it for 2 months and they're sending a technician to my house to replace the hard drive. Hard drive had crashed several days into having the computer and tech told me that I had picked up a virus. Had to reinstall the whole system after getting the installation discs from Dell. Now it's a tech coming to my door, who knows when... Wish I had never bought it. Am surprised that Dell put this one on the market, nothing but trouble from day one!
This computer in the beginning worked very good. After the first 9 months it gave me nothing but problems. It randomly shuts down, the screen goes black or freezes. Its to the point, I cant even handle my online classes or work from my computer. This is my 3rd computer from Dell over the past 9-10 years. As of today, I'm no longer a Dell customer.. If you choose to purchase the Inspiron 2305, all I can say is GOOD LUCK !!!
The specific model is a 2305. It was purchased as a gift for my mother. Liked that it was a neat all-in-one and opted for wireless keyboard and mouse. The thing made noise from day one (do a search this is a common issue, just search Dell 2305) also 14 months after giving it to my mother it is broken. It wont start (hadware failure) The cost to repair it is within $100 of buying a new one. Diappointed in the product. I admit that at first glance this thing was impressive, but look at reviews from people who have owned this thing for more than 2 days. Search for reviews and issues online. If you use the current model number you probably won't find any issues becasue the model number is new. I hope Dell fixed any issues on newer models. Now, do I get another Dell or try something else?
