I used it to organize my make up.
perfect yarn holders for knitters. You can stack them; see what is in them and they keep organization so much easier!
The cardboard insert fits just fine into the tray to divide each tray into 16 compartments as intended, to hold 16 ornaments. Ornaments don't break with normal handling, carrying and jostling. I've used these for 8 years without breaking any ornaments. I've had 2 snaps that hold layers together break (out of 2 snaps per tray and 16 trays in all) in 8 years, not a problem, just put that tray on the bottom of a stack and it doesn't use the broken snap, duh. Love these - clear to see what ornament is where, stack 3, 4 or 5 trays together, snap on a lid with the handle to carry 160 ornaments (two 5-tray stacks) safely to/from attic storage
I'm seeing all these reviews that they aren't sturdy.... mine is!!! I took inserts out and store my lil jars of craft paint in it and it holds up just fine it's heavy as crap with paints in it not ornaments but is holding up over a year!! I just bought 3 more!!
Excellent product! Each layer is small enough that next year I can hold a tray of 16 and apply to my tree. A little concerned that the snaps might break with usage, but doesn't $20 if I can get 3 years out of them I'll consider it a good investment. I recommend adding something such as tissues or bubble wrap to the inside. I eye-balled and built a layer of 3 layers of the small bubble wrap to the bottom, then added the cardboard (which they are correct, doesn't fit the premolded slots) and feel it's pretty secure. let's see what a year in the attic does to it.
This serves its purpose, but the snaps that keep the pieces together are flimsy. I had to put tape on the lid and the second layer to keep them from popping open when I carried them. The cardboard interiors do their job, but flop around. Wouldn't buy again.
These are very nice and handy. They do have room to hold each individual ornament to give them added protection during storing. However, the dividers are not long enough to slide into the individual slots as one would have thought. Also the clips make me nervous whether they will hold when you pick up and carry by the handle.
Great concept except the cardboard inserts are not long enough to fit into the slots. So what is the point of having the slots? Or the cardboard inserts? I will end up using the plastic boxes without the inserts but then again I could just continue to use my card board boxes like every other year. Waste of time and money.
cardboard inserts are not long enough to fit in slots. because of that items are not held in place very well. insert and all slide around when handling them. will not purchase again unless improvements are made. I bought this in Walmart in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee.
I did store pickup on this item and when j got there it was just one container not a set of 4 as listed in the description. Luckily the manager that was there found me four of theses containers and redid my transaction for the same price as the set was advertised for.
