I have a toy size dog. I moved into a new home and realized that my dog could very easily fit through the openings between the stair railing and fall. I searched the internet and found this product. I ordered it and it came very quickly. This past weekend I installed it around my stair railing and I am very pleased with the results. I used very tiny nails instead of the wire ties that came with it. It fits very secure and I noticed that my dog seems more secure when walking around the top of the stairs. It's a clear, thick plastic type material, and it looks good.
