I first heard about this from a friend who raved about the system. I did some investigating on my own and the science does make sense. I'm a big believer in giving kids lots of stimulation as soon as possible. I played a lot of music when I was expecting my first so I thought why not try. The sounds are a bit off putting at first but I got used to the repetitive sound by about lesson 3. I did it the same time each day and by about week 4 he was actually kicking at that time like he was reminding me to play it. All I can say is that breast feeding was quite a bit easier with him (again maybe because of my own level of confidence) but he seemed to have a stronger latch. Next- and the biggest bonus for us has been that he began sleeping through the night by 6 weeks and that definitely did not happen with my first. Overall I think this device may have made a difference. Only time will tell about everything else...
My son is now 9 years old. I used BabyPlus as recommended while I was pregnant. He was wide eyed and alert when he was born. The doctor even commented on how alert he was for a newborn. He is now in the gifted program at school and although he's in 3rd grade, his standardized test scores showed that he is reading on a 7th grade level and Math on a 5th grade level. Of course genetics plays a role in your child's intelligence, but why not give your child every advantage that you can?
I used this when I was pregnant with my daughter. She is now 10 years old. She is very smart and does extremely well in school with Math and Reading. What I'm most impressed with is her ability to play the piano! She picked it up on her own. She started with a thumb piano and figured out the tune for "somewhere over the rainbow" by herself, by ear. We quickly got her a keyboard and started her in piano classes. She can listen to a song and then figure out how to play it on the piano. Her father nor I have ANY musical background nor play any instruments. It's really quite amazing. She also has picked up coding extremely well! Why not give your unborn child an advantage?
