I've been using this for some time now and I like how smooth the application is on both my lips and skin. A little goes a long way and it leaves the skin soft.
This is probably my absolute favorite product in my house. We put it on chapped lips, burns, scratches, and my 17-year-old even uses it in her skincare routine. It is one of the most versatile products and this one container has lasted about a year. It's hands-down the most effective products that my kids will actually let me use on them without a fight.
I am currently experiencing dermatitis around my mouth due to a medication reaction (I have psoriasis), which caused my lips and mouth area to swell, crack, peel and bleed. Nothing was helping and it was incredibly painful. My dermatologist advised me to stop using everything and only use CeraVe Healing Ointment until my appointment, two days later. I was simply amazed at the difference, just from one day to the next. I make my own, natural, healing ointments, which are very effective in treating minor cuts, burns, and rashes. But my skin needed something "neutral" to recover from the reaction. CHO was exactly what I needed. The pain is gone, swelling is reduced, the redness is dramatically reduced, the peeling skin is gone and the cracks are healing (my dermatologist even took pictures). I have a new medication now, but between applications, CHO is all I use on my mouth. I am immeasurably grateful for it.
i use cerave healing ointment as a daily moisturizer for lips to prevent chapped lips and it works great! i no longer use regular chapstick as it chaps my lips more
I love this product, it helps me to recover very dry skin areas, that need more attention especially in winter. I like to use it as a lip balm, as an elbow balm, as a foot balm. I introduced this product to my boyfriend who has a dry skin and struggles with extremely dry wrists for 9 months per year, and it actually helps to heal his skin! The texture of this product is pretty thick, it has no smell, no artificial color. I appreciate the fact that it has hydrolysed hyaluronic acid and multiple types of ceramides! Better than vaseline, that's for sure! I recommend this product to everyone, seriously, if you weren't sure to buy this or not, just do it, you will not regret. This is your sign you were looking for.
I was lucky to receive the advanced repair ointment from the cerave community (uk) in exchange for an honest review, this ointment is brilliant for dry areas knees and elbows, this has become my home essential product its also very good for dry skin spots and on the lips , such a good product ,skin feels smoothe too I would recommend
I've been using this product for a month now and my skin has really been improving. I slug my face with it every night before bed and I've saw the effectiveness. The texture puts me in the mind of “milk hydro grip” which is a nice sensation in my opinion. The scent isn't strong at all. For the money you are paying it's worth it if you want clear skin. In the video provided is my skin recently. I recommend this product for anyone looking to make a difference within their skin routine.
The ointment is thick in texture so you really have to squish the packaging to get some out, so I wouldn't recommend the tube version if you have arthritis in your hands. It doesn't leave a stickiness to the touch afterwards if you don't use a lot of it and it's also odorless. I've been trying it every night for 1 month and it's not particularly great in any way, i'll probably buy a cheaper ointment after this runs out.
This scent-free ointment is nice and thick, but in terms of effectiveness it's just okay. I generally really like CeraVe products, but this healing ointment isn't very long lasting and doesn't give me great results. I had expectations that it would heal, hydrate, and make my skin soft, but honestly, I see no difference.
This does NOT heal. It is an ointment but it does nothing to heal. I've used it faithfully at least twice a day and my skin still feels chapped. Finally gave in and bought some Vaseline and the chapped skin felt healed within 12 hours. Thumbs down 👎🏼 on Cerave healing ointment 👎🏼👎🏼 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
