We own a sewer inspection company a sewer jetting company and a plumbing company we have over 40 ridgid cameras we love the RM 200 they are fantastic cameras from the roof we have no problem dropping it an 1 1/4 vent and 4 inch for camera inspections we put the handle that holds the older CS6X it makes it an extremely compact and I can push out twice as far as the compact 2 so I never have to bring an extra camera on the roof for length
Combined this with the cordless Monitor, excellent clarity. Using this has resulted in 2 recent replacement jobs, & really expands our companies ability to diversify. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We have had our RM200 for 5 years, it is used daily and have only had the cable déterminâtes for the first time a couple of months ago. If you look after it and don't force it when it is at its limit you will never have a problem. I've read previous reviews on here and they must not be looking after theirs.
The combination of the rM200 & the CS6 monitor make jobs with difficult access a breeze. The stiffer camera line makes it easier to push and get farther in the lines. The monitor is easier to use and recordings are not a problem. I've used a few Sea Snakes over the years and this unit has been the best so far. I highly recommend it!
I can not believe I waited so long to purchase this camera system. All the years wondering what re issue was, and never being able to provide my customer with an absolute reason. Having video undeniably provides the answer.
i have purchased the sea snake sewer camera and run MAC computers in my office , HQ does not run on MAC's 'considering the main reason for my choice was to use HQ to edit and report footage and pics taken if knowing this at the start would not have purchased this product ... please anyone wanting to purchase these products speak to ridgid prior and get guarantee your systems will run HQ program if you expect to use it
I have had this camera in the shop with problem after problem with the push cable . And it just broke again ON 4/9/15. I own a pluming company and we run a lot of Ridgid cameras with out a bit of trouble but the max 200 is always braking . the worst part of it all is I believe the camera is defective but im charged every time I send it in. The lifetime warranty does not amount to much. Literally this camera has been messing up on us shortly after purchasing. I have used gator cams / general cams and ridged cams . The max 200 is not durable .
I bought this rm200 years back and have not got much use out of it. I have had it send back for repairs on numerous occasion. It comes back shorter every-time. It currently is about 80 ft long and needs repair again. Seems with how expensive this model is, it would be a much better quality and built with its use in mind! Very disappointing
Wish I would've listened to y'alls reviews. I've had this for less than 4 months. Going back to the shop for the 2nd time. We know how to use this equipment.. it's not user error. Ridgid should be ashamed of themselves for releasing such a product and then not standing behind said product when defects are obvious. I'll be asking for a full refund and getting a different reel.
We have 50 of these at a major utility company, at least three are in getting fixed every week The cables are prone to damage due to over exarburent workers trying to get around PVC traps and bends or on long runs through multiple bends. The cable will get a kink and be basically useless, as it will always flex on that point and no move, or loose picture resulting in the cable being cut and shortened on repair.
