I am obsessed with this primer!!! I never thought primer was necessary, just another ploy to get us to buy more makeup. But after using this, not only does it nourish my skin, but it holds my makeup on all day. I can tell a difference when I am not wearing this vs. wearing it. It's colorless and odorless, and almost acts as a moisturizer, but doesn't make your face shiny. I love putting these products on my skin, I feel like it's getting healthier just from the makeup I use!!
I'm in love with this primer. Before this primer I was using one from Mary Kay, which gave good results but had questionable ingredients. After considering it for a while, I went ahead and purchased this primer. As some reviewers have said, it doesn't feel too great while you're putting it on (it feels a little greasy), but it absorbs quickly and gives your skin a nice glow. I think "luminous" is a great word for it, because it makes my skin look a little dewy but not oily at all. Best of all, from using 100% Pure's Brightening serum and this Luminous Primer, I'm finally feeling confident enough to go without cream foundation. I now rely solely on Tarte's Maracuja creaseless concealer on my undereyes and on any blemishes, and then 100% Pure's powder foundation over that. I feel like my skin looks radiant with this combo and I couldn't be happier!
Second time I use a primer and I realize how much it's essential. No need too much product so it last long, its economic. This one makes the skin breathe and I have a very sensitive and dry skin so not easy to find the good product. I ll definitely reuse it and buy it again! (And this beautiful packaging...)
I have an oily T Zone. I first tried the 100% Pure mattifying primer, and it did nothing for me! I've been using this Luminous primer for the last 3 days, and it does a good job of controlling oil as well as making makeup last longer. I'm not sure why this one works so much better on my skin, but I'm definitely sticking with it!
I used to be a devotee of silicone=based primers, but I am a convert to this primer. Whether I use foundation, BB cream or mineral powder, it all goes on smoothly over this primer. I also find that it is truly "luminous" and imparts a glow even with the use of good coverage foundation. I love that it has the added ingredients that are good for your skin.
I am so happy that I took a chance on this primer. I don't wear a lot of makeup because I live in Hawaii and I just want a natural healthy look. I wear this primer alone with a little cheek and lip tint and mascara and it is so pretty! I also use a little highlighter on my browbone and cheekbones if I want to dress it up. So pretty and natural.
It feels great and I haven't had any adverse reaction to using it prior to makeup. My only concern is that I don't know if it is actually keeping my makeup in place, as the eyeliner and mascara has left deposits and smudges on my eyes even with this on. The cheek tint stays on well with this at least. Will have to do more research using other makeup brands with this primer to see if it holds up.
This is silky feeling & performs well. The packaging needs serious redesigning, perhaps a squeeze tube because there are problems with the pumps (they stated many have been replaced) & they are well aware of this. Sadly, it is nearly impossible to extract product once the pump fails & a Q-Tip doesn't reach the bottom of the bottle & you can't really pour out the remainder because of bottle design. Good product, but with faulty delivery & a high price. Please get to work on this.
I love how this feels on my face, and I love wearing it alone with no makeup, but I found when I apply the foundation over it, the primer turns the foundation orangey! When I use my new winning sand color foundation alone on my bare face, it's a great match with my skin tone and very neutral, but if I apply it over the primer it goes orange. Yikes! I wonder if this is why other colors I tried looked orange, in retrospect. If you're trying foundation colors, be sure to try them without the primer versus with the primer in case this happens to you too. I'm using the primer on the tops of my hands sometimes as an alternate/additional use.
This is the second bottle I have purchased. I love this product, however the bottle leaks product from the pump mechanism. I waste so much product anytime I use the pump to get product. The first bottle I purchased had no issues but this second one is defective.
