I never knew Motorola made baby monitors but I'm not disappointed. The sound quality is good. What I'd expect from a baby monitor. The video quality is really awesome too. It transitions from night view and back well. I love the alerts I can get too. I would recommend this.

This camera and monitor set helped my parents' life so much easier. This set includes: a smart friendly night vision HD camera, a large color 5" portable monitor, a wall mount and 2 chargers with 2 instruction books. Just follow step by step, the connection is super easy. It is more than just a monitor. I had the 2 way talk which is my favorite. I can comfort my kid with my voice or talk to my wife when she is in the nursery room or either way. The camera has a wide angle Up to 1,000ft Range, making it easy for me to see my baby. This is a very useful gift for any parent. I can't thank both BzzAgent and Motorola for this gift. Definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

It is much wider than the monitor I used before. The image is clear and the monitor alerts you when it gets turned off. The temperature indicator is clear and easy to read. The best part is the two way talk feature which allows me to speak with my toddler. The night vision is pretty awesome as well.

"Motorola PIP1500 connect video baby monitor" comes with a camera with a charger and a monitor with a charger. The camera attaches very easily and quickly; there should be an outlet nearby, as it needs to be plugged in, but the charger is very long, so it's not a problem. Excellent color reproduction in low light, everything is clearly visible. The time is displayed on the monitor. Also, a room temperature transmitter. You can turn on the sound if you are on another floor of the house and may not hear the child. You can completely turn off the sound if you are in the next room and hear everything to see if the child needs help. The baby monitor works without internet, Wi-Fi is not needed. This is very good, especially if the internet is not stable. The signal transmits far. I checked, it catches in all rooms, even on the landing up to the 2nd floor. I recommend buying it!

This was the first time I've used a Wi-Fi monitor. My youngest son is 9 months old, so we still use a monitor religiously. I've always been wary of using the Wi-Fi Monitors, because I've heard the horror stories that they can be hacked, so I was a little nervous to use the Motorola PIP 1500, but I've been using it for about a month now. The display on this monitor is AMAZING. I don't know if the monitor we've been using is just that crappy or what, but this screen is so clear! I love that I can see his little face while he sleeps and not just a pixely blob. The monitor also seems really secure. Setting it up for the first time was kind of complicated, but that honestly made me feel better about it not being super easy to access. All the additional options/settings on the monitor were awesome, like that I can record my voice to play over the camera, or the sleep timer on the display, or the zoom/lighting options. This monitor definitely seems like something I would expect to spend a good amount of money on. The battery life is also crazy compared to what I've been using! There were two instances where the monitor screen would go to sleep, and when I woke it up, it would lag and flash an image from the last movement it saw. Unfortunately, the last movement it had recorded both times was me laying my son down. As you can imagine, it was a little shocking to wake up the monitor and see someone standing over my infant son. The thing that disappointed me the most was the mobile app. I wanted it to be amazing, but I found it to be more glitchy than it was worth. I liked that it would send me a notification when the camera detected movement or sound, until I repeatedly got notifications that there was movement when no one was home. Didn't love that! I also wish the monitor was a little smaller, or that the kickstand would fold in or something. It was just a little bulky

Your also able to record your voice to play back for your baby to comfort them. Monitor device has an LED light indicator for sound even if the volume is off you can tell if your little one is crying. With the monitor you are able to watch you baby from anywhere in the house, the monitor is cordless can be charged. Monitor has a surprising long lasting battery. Your able to communicate with your baby or toddler with a 2-way intercom and built in speaker on camera. Using the monitor your able to turn off the screen and still hear if you little starts to cry giving you peace of mind. With night vision you have no problem seeing your little one at night. Another amazing feature is a temperature monitor on the camera that displays on the monitor that way you know of it's to hot or cold in you baby room. I love that I don't have to use my phone to view my little one, the monitor allows me to rest at night knowing that if my little one wakes up I'll be able to hear him! I'm extremely happy with this product definitely will be recommending to friend's.

The app was easy to use and very convenient. My only complaint is there is about a 2 second lag on the monitor and the app. I would recommend this product. Pictures attached camera is turned, did not feel comfortable showing my child's whole bedroom.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Motorola PIP1500 Connect Video Baby Monitor is a solid surveillance camera for parents seeking extra peace of mind and supervision of their children. The camera works off wifi and can be accessed by an app on your phone. The installation of this device was a bit frustrating and time consuming but once it was set up it had tons of convenient features. The portable wireless screen is 5 inches and much larger than previous monitors I have had in the past, you can also access live footage from the app on your phone. The camera quality is pretty clear but it can glitch and the real time camera does seem to have a 5 second lag. I like that there is additional features such as room temperature monitoring, journal tracking (for bedtime, feedings, and you can even play lullaby's or audio book stories. Not only is two way talk available but you can also pre record a phrase, song, or story and play it live through the camera on a loop. There is motion sensor detection and noise detection that will alert your phone so you know if your child wakes up in the middle of the night instantly. I like that I have the option to use monitor as a traditionally if I do not want to use the app through my phone. Another thing that is unique about this camera that I like is the ability to mount it on the wall to get a Birds Eye view of the room and it's out of the children reach. The Motorola PIP1500 is an excellent option for a baby monitor for new parents but also for those with older toddlers and school age children who are gaining independence but still need extra supervision.
