Super comfortable, great fit and good style. I've had a bunch of low top Merrells before, this is my first boot. They are really comfortable out of the box, perfect for anything active. Would definitely recommend.
Great hiking boot. Wore them a couple days before embarking on hiking trips to Zion National Park and Angles Landing. Then to Bryce Canyon to Fairy Landing. The boots were very comfortable and felt great on both hikes.
With the reviews on footwear being all over the place I wasn't sure what to expect. When I opened the box I was happy with the aesthetics. They looked great. As I put them on I found them very comfortable. Right away I noticed that they have a high arch support. This may contribute to the negative reviews on size. I personally like the support, however, if you have issues with your arches, or are flat footed, I can see were you may have issues. Break-in was not unpleasant, and I have worn these every weekday for two and a half weeks now. I like them. Good traction, easy to tie. No issues. I just hope that when I need a new pair they are still available.
Super comfy, warm, lightweight and keep my feet dry during hikes in light rain. Also, the traction is excellent on wet trails. Did I mention that they're comfy.
Very light durable and comfortable out of the box , and very sharp looking.
I train competition bird dogs as a hobby. To be competitive, I have to be walking outdoors through field and forest in all conditions for hours every week of the year. I need a light weight boot with stability for my old feet and ankles. Merrell Yakota waterproof are perfect for me.
As an outdoor photographer I need a good solid shoe that can take on all kinds of weather and surfaces. The Yokota 2 offers just what I need. Solid performance with good styling.
Great product. Going on year 2 of hunting and hiking. Still comfortable.
Only complaint after hiking the Smoky Mountains is they are very warm and my feet would sweat. I probably should have looked at a goretex more than just waterproof. That said, very comfortable and kept mud and stream waters out.
I'm a huge fan of Merrell boots having used them exclusively for the last 10 years. A tread lug ripped off the last pair of Moab's I had but I assumed that was from the many miles and rough use I put them through. But a tread lug on my latest pair of Merrell Yokata's ripped loose after about 2 months of owning them and less than 3 weeks of actual around town wear... very light duty wear at that. What good are hiking boots if the tread lugs rip off walking around town? I hope that Merrell's quality isn't slipping. We will see...
