i began following the Curly girl method about 2.5 months ago so I'm still really new to this whole natural, taking-care-of-my-hair thing. This Deva Curl set was the first better quality product line that i purchased after starting cgm. i was super excited to receive it because I'd heard nothing but good things about them, aside from the scandal. lol. I've had it for about 6 weeks or so and I've used it 3 times. it did absolutely nothing for my hair... no definition, no Frizz control, no curl enhancement or activation, nothing! it completely takes away any curl that i can achieve with pretty much ANY OTHER product. i have high porosity 2b waves. with a Denman brush, i can get big bouncy ringlets all over my head. not with this stuff! i was struggling to manage 2A waves using this. the shampoo does make my hair feel nice, especially while I'm washing it, but that's about all i can say. i haven't tried any of the products on their own so i can't say how well they work when paired with other products that actually do what they promise. i guess technically it did what it was supposed to do. it (kinda) gave me waves (barely). with pretty much anything else i can get Curls. maybe it was just the wrong product for me .
