I picked these because I was going camping. I like that these are non-coated because we burn them in the campfire when we're done with them. Because they aren't coated the plates don't have a glossy white sheen which I'm fine with. You can't beat Walmart prices on basics and pantry items like this. I also like that the non-coated plates can be tossed in my composting bin as well as the charcoal grill at the beach with any fumes being released into the environment.
We bought a box of Hostess Birthday Cupcakes that were in this order, and found out after we opened the box to have one and they were stale. Checked the date on the box and it said January 5, 2023.
I love these plates! Sometimes when my husband gets plates, they don't quite fit the plate holders we have but these fit perfectly. They are great when you don't want to dirty a dish and are thick enough that you don't have to double them unless you have something really juicy or greasy. As I said, we use the plastic plate holders to keep them sturdy. We use a lot of paper plates in this house so when I can get a good deal on them and they fit my needs I am very happy!
Great to have for visiting guests while water pipes are being repaired
Paper plates are a must in any home. Super convenient! I personally like using for super messy foods like bacon, sausage, melted cheese, s'mores, etc. For super easy clean up. I feel the uncoated plates do a better job absorbing oils or grease. These plates, because uncoated are also great for preschool crafts.
I tried this product and received a full rebate in exchange for my honest opinion. The Great Value Uncoated Disposable Paper Plates, 9in, 300ct are very useful. They are great to use for lunches, pizza parties, desserts, or even for draining grease from beef. They are microwavable safe. They can be a little flimsy depending on what you are using it for and they will soak through for certain things, so you might have to use two. Overall they are a good value and I would recommend them.
Definitely pretty good paper plates. They are microwavable and perfect to use and just throw away when you're done. I like that a lot of plates come in a package. The only problem is that they aren't very strong. Often times, I have to use two plates to be sure that they will not buckle with the amount of weight on a plate. So in that respect, I don't like them because sometimes I have to waste more than one plate. Things like spaghetti or mashed potatoes, or anything else heavy weighs them down. Besides that, they're just ordinary paper plates and are a decent value. I like them.
Using these it's impossible to put heavy food in these plates or too much food because these plates can not handle much at all. These are very thin, paper thin. I have to stack plates in order to make them manageable. It does work well in the microwave to warm up food so that's a good thing.
With three busy kids, it is always welcoming to have all the extra help preparing and serving their meals. I was excited to try these Great Value Mainline Plates, Paper, White, Uncoated, 9 IN, 300 CT, but my excitement turns to disappointment after using them. I found them to be very thin and easily saturated. They are not good for heavy serving but can be used for sandwiches, fruits, and biscuits.
They changed these plates. They are now the most expensive, least convenient printer paper.
