After Hurricane Ian I had to put 70 feet of fence back up. I am no spring chicken anymore, so I knew I needed the right tool. This auger is quite powerful and has incredible torque. With some effort it dug through roots and rich soil. Lose soil is no match for this auger, and I was surprised it could handle the roots and other things in its way. Make sure you have a firm grip on this tool on rougher soil, there is plenty of torque, and it's going somewhere. A solid tool, I was surprised it did not quit under the heavy workload.
This auger is really strong. In the US Virgin Islands, I'm using it to plant trees and dig post holes. This area has very stony soil. This auger manages it flawlessly. In addition, the customer care division of the business answered my inquiries promptly and was quite helpful. For professional grade equipment, I heartily suggest this auger and the firm.

After reading numerous reviews and being skeptical of the quality I ordered the auger for a railing I was going to install for a client. Somehow the shipment was lost by FedEx but seller sent another right away they UPS. It feels sturdy and today I used it. If you are digging in soil that has rocks or roots go very slow. This thing has a lot of torque and can break your wrists. Go slow and as soon as you feel it twisting let it go. Use a hand post hole digger to remove rocks of whatever makes it get stuck before continuing. There is no clutch like a drill so this thing will spin you around.
Effective in the majority of soils. Perhaps a little bit more torque for compacted clay that is hefty. Simple to use with a single man. And sure beats hand digging.
This is the best one to buy. We use it so much that always gives us perfect results. Thank you for this company.
I was pleasantly surprised with the packaging and operation of this auger. I used it for a fence install and it did remarkably well. Awesome buy.
Works great
It seems a little cheap and is lightweight, but it functions incredibly well. Fantastic value that works quickly with clay.
The auger is effective, just not when there are rocks beneath the soil.
