We purchased two sets of these red cattails to coordinate with several golden color cattail solar lights in the front yard's plant beds, and they look spectacular (both day and night). Lovely and well made, with a faint touch of orange - so they're not too red, which could look too unnatural.
I got these after losing one of my gold ones from Home Depot. They're REALLY red in the daytime, yet nice and orange after dark. Look okay with the remaining gold ones. HOWEVER, within 3 days, one of the glass bulbs broke. Hot glue and it's better than new. I've got 25 days left to return them, if any others fall off and break (this one didn't, so I just hot-glued it back on). Pretty, but pretty fragile.
