I have a 40gal tank with fish, This does an excellent job of keeping the water clean and clear. I had an in tank filter and this filter is way beyond the old one in terms of ease and functionality. Highly recommend this especially if you are replacing a filter that sits inside your tank.
It comes with clear instructions and is easy to setup. It is super quiet when running and has made a big difference in water quality. Highly recommend if you have a big tank.
With a ton of research, I settled on this filter when it was on a slight sale. It arrived well-packed, and assembly was easy. I used all 3 trays, and ran the UV for the first two weeks while the tank settled. I have to say as my first canister filter, wow, why didnt I go this route before?! It is super quiet, softer than the water gurgling. It sits on the floor while my tank is just about 4 feet above it on a shelf, and it has no issues with suction or return. My fish and shrimp love the water flow rate. I did a sponge/bio/chemical treatment combo, and my water is sparkling clean and stable. I am going to buy more of these for other tanks the next time it goes on sale.
best filter I've owned yet. I clean it out twice a month, and my tank is crystal clear. I don't even put all those chemicals in the tank. just fresh water when it gets low.
My patio pond is crystal clear with this. I can see the Koi and rocks at the bottom. It is so quiet, I have it right outside my sliding door where I have it open at night to hear the sound of my pond and I can't hear the filter at all. It's a little overkill, it is the smallest one I could find, but it works great! I mean crystal clear water! I love it.
looks good. unlike a big black and or gray filter.
definitely worth the money in cutting your water usage. it is a bit loud but you get used to it and I actually find it rather relaxing and you must put a boot tray under it bc filter changes are rather awkward and a little messy.
haven't used it yet just check to see if it works and it does just purchased it for a backup in case some of my other ones go out!
