Bought these for my daughter. Her boyfriend was able to install them for her. She is very happy w the quality of the sound
Awesome sound for the price
sound great for the price.
Good sound and long life fabric suspension. Rubber foam suspension disintegrates in FL climate!
worked perfectly in my 2001 chevy silverado.
They make noise
Got for a gift for someone else waiting to install
These speakers aren't bad for the price. I installed them in my beater car. Better than blown speakers lol. But I wouldn't put them in my weekend car. But to be fair my head unit is old and cheap. I bet these speakers would sound better with a different head unit.
I carefully researched speakers of this type and selected the Kenwoods on the basis of specifications and price. It is true, however, that you get what you pay for. They are a very nice pair of 22 dollar speakers, perhaps the best at this price. What I wanted was a kick-butt pair with massive magnets and big sound so I traded the Kenwoods for a pair of Pioneers. I did find a discrepancy in the specs that said they weighed 6 pounds. They weigh under 2. Another thing I should have noticed was sensitivity of 92db. That means you have to drive them (higher volume) a little harder than the Pioneers I bought (90db).
They sent me the kenwood kfc-1666 and not the 1665s I originally ordered
