2 weeks and LOVING it!!!!

I ordered this computer in February and it was delivered the last week of March. In the 2 weeks I have had it I have yet to regret my decision to purchase it. This is the first new computer I have purchased in 5 yrs. Getting the configuration just the way I wanted was so easy. I have only had one issue that needed tech support(one of the pre-installed programs was causing an error message to pop up) and as soon as I called them we got it fixed. I had to do some tweaking with the graphics and memory in order to get my games to play smoothly, but nothing that doesn't have to be done on any new computer. It has been much easier to integrate this computer into my home network of x-box's and laptops. The touchscreen is great, although it has taken a couple of calibrations (once with finger and once with stylus pen) to get it to work smoothly. And now that the face recognition knows who I am logging on is a breeze. I have never owned a computer that got the kinks worked out so quickly.

We went with the All-in-One to help with the under desk clutter and move the network out from under the desk. The screen size and clarity is really good, and when we play a Blu-Ray, the picture just pops. The size of the monitor helps these tired old eyes with e-mail, and some of the smaller print. The touch screen is fun to use with card games or other application appropriated to use touch, We did find a cats' tail will drag gadgets across the screen. The only thing I have noticed, there is a high frequency cooling fan noise that if it's quiet in the house I can hear it, but normally no.

Great system! Fast!

I don't know what others are talking about. This system is awesome! It's fast (I got the basic model with the 2.6 GHz Pentium processor and 4gb ram, plus 500gb 7200 rpm drive.) Maybe there was something wrong with them that they have now fixed? My system runs smooth and fast even with Adobe Photoshop. Pros: Fast! Boots up fast for not being an SSD drive. Programs open quickly. Almost no bloatware. The SPEAKERS ROCK! For internal speakers, they have outstanding bass and get loud enough for a small party. Wireless mouse and keyboard are great. Tons of USB ports - 2 on the side and 4 in the back. I love the brightness and volume controls that are built-in to the system on the left side! Great idea, Dell. CONS: I cannot really see any cons with it. I got a great deal and don't see anything to gripe about. Like I mentioned earlier, maybe there were some issues at first that are ironed out now because this system works great, even with Adobe Photoshop.

Never thought I'd buy a Dell PC

I never thought I'd buy a Dell PC. But, after reading about the Inspiron One 2305, I decided to. With a 3 yr old at home, what better way to get a child interested than with a touch screen. My daughter loves it and actually Daddy does too, lol. So much that I got 2-2305's. The Performance for my wife and daughters, the Premium for me. I am an admitted build and or spec your own guy, but I highly recommend either of the 2 2305's I got. Mine games well with no hitches and my 3 yr old loves the You paint program and lots of the touch games. Free your custom built snob and give the 2305's a try.

Great AIO for my needs
(5)
Reviewed in the USA on 2011-12-18T16:00:00

I bought this to replace my previous Dell XPS all-in-one (AIO) computer which I've had for about 3 years. The previous one is still going strong, but this one had some features that fit nicely with my planned new setup, which is to be able to use this computer with a Dell docking station so that I can use its screen for my Dell E-series laptop also. Along with this computer, I also bought an E-series dock (the LCD monitor mount one) and a VESA adapter to mount the AIO to it. I worried that the AIO may be too heavy for the stand, but cranking the stand's setting up to the heaviest monitor setting has worked out well and it seems rock steady. I also bought a Display Port to HDMI cable and a USB switcher for the keyboard/mouse. I doubt this setup was thought of by Dell, but it works nicely in my office. Now, to the computer itself. I'm not looking for speed since I mainly do email/surfing, so the Intel i5 processor works well. I turned off the touchscreen for now as I'm not really interested in it (maybe when Windows 8 comes out, I'll turn it on). The 23" screen is a nice upgrade to my previous 20" AIO and the video input switch works pretty well (if a little stiff) for me to get over to my laptop input. I really like all the inputs and outputs this AIO has - makes it versatile for sure. The sound is admittedly disappointing, even compared to my previous AIO - the bass is just not there. Another computer maker has an optional external subwoofer especially for their AIO - Dell should look into this option. For now, plugging in my trusty Bose external speakers work great, but do add a little bit more clutter. Overall, the build quality seems good, it's worked well so far, and its speedy for my needs, so this computer gets five stars for now!

So Far, Excellent

I've used Dell, and Dell-Outlet laptops for years, with varying degrees of success. The truth is, after 2 years, sometimes a latop breaks down. That happened to one of my Dell laptops; needed a new motherboard AND processor, and in the end it wasn't worth fixing. But this was the first time I've purchased a desktop from them. I went with the all in one because I liked the big screen, and because I was tired of having a laptop that overheated. My fiance has a laptop, so I figured we didn't need two anymore. And this could also be good for watching movies and videos. So, I got the all-in-one. I got it in August of 2012, it's now the last week of October; the computer is fantastic. I bought the 2320 w/ touch screen, and got a system with an i3-2120 3.3ghz and 6gb of ram. It's amazingly fast for what I use it for. I'm not a big gamer, my fiance and I use it mostly for internet browsing and word processing. We're both young attorneys and we bring a ton of work home, so when I say we do word processing I mean we are regularly writing 100s of pages on it each week, and downloading and reading 1000s of pages of pdfs and other document formats. Haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. I was very concerned when buying it after I read some of the reviews. That's why I'm writing a review now: I truly think it's a case of you're only seeing from the people who had a problem. If one thousand people buy a product, 10 of them are going to have an issue, and it's just more likely that those people will write a review. But so far, I have had zero problems with my computer. I bought it from the outlet and saved a good deal of money because it was "scratched" and returned. I've looked all over and can't find a mark on the computer. I would definitely reccomend it. One additional note on the touch-screen: It's probably not as useful as you think, unless you have young children who want to paint or play games. I find that I use it when reading long documents or my newspaper (the NYT) which has a nice app that is touch friendly. Otherwise, you're still going to use the mouse most of the time. But that may change with windows 8, there should be more touch friendly applications and uses. We will see.

The Inspiron 2320 replaced our communal Inspiron Mini 10, so we're loving the big, bright, clear screen. My 5 and 3 year olds love the touch screen and the included YouPaint coloring app and the Windows touch pack games (I'm buying a wholesale club pack of LCD wipes on my next visit, however). Initial impressions were that the system was pretty snappy with the included 1TB drive, but the noise of the HDD was a little more noticeable than I like, and boot/wake up time, while reasonable, was a little slow when I wanted to quickly look something up online or print something out. There was a considerable amount of bloatware on the system as well (that, and that opening the cabinet to access the internals is a bit tricky are why I dodn't give it 5 stars). I decided that rather than wipe the factory HDD and reinstall windows I'd install a 256GB solid state drive and put a fresh copy of windows on that. Boot up is 20 seconds from power on to Select User screen and wake from hibernation is about 5 seconds. With the SSD I lost 750GB of storage, but since all of my critical files are elsewhere I'm not too worried about it. I plugged a compact 320GB external drive into one of the rear USB ports and affixed it to the back of the case with some velcro and changed the default My Documents for my wife's and my user profiles to the external drive so I'm not too worried about running out of space. Overall, we're really happy with this machine, after an initial scrub. If Dell would offer an SSD option the 2320 could be a true powerhouse for just about everything but hardcore gaming. We're looking forward to completing our kitchen remodel so we can put it on the counter near (not too near) the stove so we can stream video and look up recipies while making meals.

2320 i7 & i5 The good - bad

Reviewed in the USA on 2012-01-27T16:00:00

I have 2 of these systems a i5 & i7 processors fully loaded with all the bells and whistles. Pricing was good. I had looked at the same type of system by HP and found the HP to be more pricer for the same configuration. My only bad side to the system is the design of the stand. The HP has a better stand it allows the monitor to stand up straight as well as tilt back at an angle. The dell 2320 cant stand up straight therfore it produces a glare on the screen from my lights in the ceiling overhead at my computer work station in my home. I would like to see a better stand or the same type of stand as the HP. The glare causes me to turn the lights off or turn the computer at a angle to view it better. Also a back lit keyboard would also help to make it perfect. Overall a great computer. The i7 for dad and the i5 for the kids, worked out great. PS...The expendability of this type of system is very limited due to space inside the computer so dont go cheap and try to upgrade later. I added all the add ons and upgrades to both of mine at ordering Blue ray drive, memory, graphics card etc etc etc.

purchased refurbished that was supposed to be 'like new' - yet after only 3-4 weeks I have to pay $39.00 to get a box to send it back because it will not turn on-black screen!! I already paid for this, had such a short time, not working and now I have to pay to get it there to be fixed! I need to wait 10-14 days...after they fix it to get it back!! not what i expected from DELL!! Disappointed!!

This computer in the beginning worked very good. After the first 9 months it gave me nothing but problems. It randomly shuts down, the screen goes black or freezes. Its to the point, I cant even handle my online classes or work from my computer. This is my 3rd computer from Dell over the past 9-10 years. As of today, I'm no longer a Dell customer.. If you choose to purchase the Inspiron 2305, all I can say is GOOD LUCK !!!
