I have 3 Magniflows, a 220 on a 55 gal & 2 360's on a 60 and 75 gal respectively and I couldnt be happier! I agree the instructions are at times vague, but once you get familiar the set up and regular maintenance is easy with the stackable tyrays. My tanks are all spotless with crystal clear water. Cant wait to get a bigger tank and get a 530!!!!
It's been three weeks since I purchased my Magnaflow 360 and I am beyond happy with its outstanding performance. It's easy to install and get up and running. The instructions are really easy to follow and I clearly don't understand why people complain about the noise level or about priming the filter housing. The best way to prime is to perfil the media chambers / baskets; once this is done perfil the tower with water so that the water is just above the upper media basket. Install the power head unit onto the tower hit the hand priming pump like three or four times ( super easy), and water will start flowing with no issues at all. It keeps the water in my 75 gallon tank crystal clear. Outstanding filtration from a well know and trusted manufacturer within the industry.
I got 2 marineland C360.One on 60 gal and one on75 gal. I use them for 9 months now. I can say only good things about this filter great flow and running quiet. Both aquarium Look spotless clean, water always clear . If you got problems with Micro bubbles simply put lubrication on valve block seal rings and put better clamp on intake tube .the plastic one is to weak.Great fillters! I'm waiting to buy and try out marineland C530.
Before I have to many problems in my fish tank, now water is crystal clear very quiet just for cloudy water I used another system but I'm happy now.
I purchased a Magniflow 360 canister filter May 2020 and loved it. Purchased a second Magniflow 360 filter June 2020. Super quiet and maintaining two heavily fed cichlid tanks. Well the first filter starts leaking in July. I write the company and show my sales receipt. The reply from “Melanie Meadows - Consumer Relations Spectrum Brands – Global Pet Division” is below. “Thank you for contacting Marineland for help. We hate to hear that the canister is leaking! If you do not see a visible crack in the plastic, then the only other cause for the leaking would be due to a gasket issue, so we would recommend you check to ensure that it was installed properly and that it lays flat and has no twists or bends. If the gasket looks to be installed correctly, then it may be that the gasket has worn out over time and should be replaced. You can also try using some silicone lubricant around the gasket which should help seal it and keep leaking from occurring in the future.” Why should my gasket be worn out after two months of use. I'm afraid of a flood from the filter; I placed them in containers. I used silicone and things seam to be hold for a few weeks. I worry every month when I change the polishing filter pads that the leak will return or my second filter will start leaking. So far the second filter is fine. Where is the three year warranty? Fix the leaking problem; support your products and customers.
The filter works great BUT the lid gets stuck every single time. We have tried everything short of a hammer! I'm 120 lbs I can not continue to fight with this thing
I have had this filter for about 6 months and since day one it has been a problem leaking water , loud , not keeping my aquarium clean just over all the biggest waste of money I ever spent ..
I have owned several of these the latest in is about 8 months old .I Have fought drips and leaks with all of them .the newest one started leaking again after I cleaned it.I changed all the gaskets and It was fine for about 10 mins.then started leaking.considering a canister could drain 1/2 your tank your company really should figure out how to fix the problems
First off, when it works it's a wonderful product. But the minute it starts to leak it's over, almost no coming back from it. I have 350Gal tank and I used two TS3 (360) on it, over the past 5 years. With each cleaning it's a struggle to stop the leak after reassemble. I've reach out to Spectrum Brands in the past and they have sent me both seal kit and new replacements but in the end the canister always leak. I have two new ones and I can't use them because they won't stop leak. At this point I don't know what to do.
Setup according to the instructions was relatively easy though my first impression of the intake and outtake attachment were that the plastic felt very cheap. There is also no power button on the pump so the only way to turn if off is to unplug it. Priming the pump is a nightmare. I had to push on the priming button for a solid 10-15 minutes before it finally started siphoning and as soon as the tank itself filled up, it started pouring water from under the motor head and flooded my tank cabinet. This filter is cheaper than other brands of similar capacity for a reason. Save yourself the headache and look for another option.
