Although I will agree with the majority of these reviews. This oven hood DOES have faulty, cheap buttons that will fall apart and if you're lucky will get lost inside the hood assembly. That requires you to take the whole oven hood apart (approximately 12 T10 torque screws) just to get to the button assembly. Do not pay a technician to replace the button assembly. I was able to find my button after disassembly and push it back in and then reassemble. On a level of 1-10, approximately a 4 in difficultly level.
Looks nice, but soon after 1 yr warranty expired, when I pushed the level 3 speed fan button it went inside the hood , I don’t know how can I fix it, please any help. Thank you [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This unit was installed in our home when it was built and has worked very well until this week when one of the fan buttons pushed through the frame. It was followed a couple of days later by a second button. I've read a number of reviews on this model that all claim likewise. Such a fatal flaw for a otherwise outstanding product. You'd think they would have cracked the code on it by now... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my new home on April 1st with a suite of Frigidaire appliances. The light bulbs vent hood and it hasn't been three weeks. To make matters worse, it's almost impossible to get the bulb loose to replace it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Buttons on this push into the unit and it is impossible to open to get them out. Can no longer use the fan, what a piece of junk
This range hood was included in our new home purchase April 30, 2019. In May of this year, a scant 13 months after we took possession of the home, the low speed button dislodged and fell back into the fan. I now have an empty hole, and only two speeds. It's rather surprising since we did not move here full time until June 9th of this year. We were part time residents. In talking with my neighbors, it was discovered that this was not uncommon. This is very disappointing. I would not recommend this range hood fan to anyone. As a matter of fact I will tell all prospective neighbors to make sure they have the builder replace that particular fan before they purchase.
The push buttons for the fan and light pop off easily when you shut it off or change fan speeds. The 2nd fan speed button popped out and when we tried to put it back on it fell into the hood where it can’t be retrieved.
Just like others, I have a button which fell out of the unit and then tried to re-insert and it got pushed all the way into unit. So far have been in a chat with associates for 2 hours and they are not able to help. The front buttons should be serviceable. Looks like I'll be replacing the unit with something else.
We got this from our builder in our new home, it worked great for us for about 3 months. But after 3 months the low speed fan button came unglued and has since fallen into the hole in the hood it came out of, and soon after all fan speed buttons came off. It was replaced under warranty but now 2 years down the road 2 of the buttons are inside the hood and I have to use one to put in the different fan speed holes to operate. Trying to figure out how to get them out but there doesn't seem to be screws to take apart. Bad bad bad design!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!
It started with one button that slung out at my wife's face while she was cooking. This product is a safety hazard. Then a second button did the same. One of the buttons eventually got pushed in, and we had to start using the other loose button to enable other fan speeds. Eventually they all got pushed in. From what I'm reading about in all the other reviews, this seems to be a common issue and should warrant a class action lawsuit if they can't remedy the problem. We'll be sure to avoid Frigidaire products going forward.
