My wife and I owned a "real" hot tub for some 20 years before moving, and decided not to bring it along. I got to missing it, so I decided to invest $400 in this. It arrived a few days ago, and I got it all set up and have been using it. Overall, I am very pleasantly surprised with how nice it is for what you pay. Setup was relatively easy, thanks to a couple of good youtube videos (and little thanks to the manual). It took about 18 hours to get the water from 61 degrees when I filled it to 100 when it shut off. The "jets" are really just bubbles, but they really churn the water nicely. The whole setup feels a bit cheap, but then again, it really is. This is a hot tub, heater, pump, and cover for $400! I registered the warranty today and they extend the warranty to 18 months on the heater and pump, and to 12 months on the tub and cover. If I get 2 or 3 years out of it, it will have been a good investment. So no, it's not a $4,000 spa, but then again it IS a spa that cost 10% of that and leaves the other 90% in your pocket.
I love this hot tub. It was fairly easy to set up and its very sturdy. It heats up pretty fast and stays hot for the entire time Im in the tub. I never thought I would own a hot tub because theyre so expensive. This was a great buy at $399.00! If I move, I can just deflate it and take it with me. Im very happy with my purchase, and I highly recommended it.
I was a little skeptical but I must say this thing is amazing. Easy setup by watching a video online and filled up in less than an hour. I really can't believe how strong the Jets are. I'm 100% satisfied and for the money it's a nice hot tub.
So far, so good! Set up was fairly easy, but the instructions are only illustrated, so you have to kind of figure it out on your own. I wasn't ready to commit to a permanent tub, and I'm impressed with the quality for what we are wanting. It's definitely for no more than three adults, but so far it's a great purchase for the price! Nice addition to the backyard when we have to spend all our time at home right now.
Love this spa!!! Better than I excepted!!! My bf set in up by himself while I was at work!!! Would not hesitate to buy this again. The only thing that was upsetting about it, was I am a breast cancer survivor, double mastectomy all lymph nodes removed from left armpit, I did not know a hot tub could cause lymphedema , which I have now. No fault of the hot tub I shouldve Checked before buying
We looove this hot tub!!! We have had it about a week and had used it every day! The setup took minutes. It was up to temp in about 12 hours. It is costing us about a dollar a day to keep the heater running all day.
I bought it to use year-round in New England. I wanted to see if I liked it and actually used it; the price point was perfect for me to do that vs $5,000 for a hard-sided hot tub. Its been three weeks with tempatures ranging from 10 to 70 degrees and its been great. No joke thats feb-mar in NE!! I love the insulated siding that goes around it. The bubbles definitely make the heat blow up in smoke and cools the tub about 2 degrees every 10-15 minutes when its very cold out, but what would one expect? I like to sit in it for about an hour, so I don't use the bubbles much. They make it look nice, but Im ok with saving the electricity. I did buy some 2 inch thick insulation foam to put it on to help with keeping it warm. I suggest buying a chemical starter pack at the same time. Ive had to put bromine in once a week and shock the water once (the interior got like a slimy film). I wiped it all down with a sponge and then put the chemicals in, ta-da, gone the next day. Lock the cover on or find it in the woods after a wind storm, lol. I keep it on 100-102 degrees, I hope to drop it in the summer and just jump in to cool off. It does take several hours to heat up just 5 degrees, but again, its cold out. The sizing is like a camp tent, if it says it will fit four; it really means two, 2 and a kid at best, but then again the bigger it is the more water to heat. I did put it on our deck because our deck has a good support structure, otherwise I wouldnt have.
I love this hot tub! The only problem is the temperature. The temp is only warm at best. With hindsight being 20/20, I would have still made this purchase.
Setup was gawd awful. Would not inflate in our cold 3 seasons room, had to bring it in the house to inflate it. Setup directions shows 10 photos, figured it out by inflating and deflating 3 different times. Not sure on the chemical dispenser, its such a tight fit, not sure how it can cycle water to reach the tablets. ACCESS TO HOT WATER! This was a huge help hooking a hose up to our utility sink to get hot water into the tub to fill it. If I read the directions correctly, the heater will give you an error if the water is below a certain temperature. Also, the max and minimum fill lines are ridiculous. If you have four adults in this water level would have to be set below the minimum level line for the water to not spill out with four people in it. I added an inch and a half of pink insulation board underneath the base to help insulate it better. And added an additional 18 feet of insulation bubble foil between the energy sense liner and the tub liner. It warms and stays warm is pretty well. Even in the room that reaches single digits. Reaching in and taking the filter out and cleaning it needs to be done frequently. And it stinks you have to reach all the way in the water to get it out. Long power cord is nice! Make sure you have a GFCI outlet ready to go for this!
Defective pump… could not even set up. And of course I have to go to the manufacturer for warranty service. I'm out $430. I doubt I will even get it fixed.
