[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is well needed around the house it keeps my son from going anywhere he wants to with him crawling it blocks him from stuff around the house and it's works good and it's solid not easy to knock over.

I did spray paint it to give it a little extra jazzy look. Kids could not unlock it so that was a plus as well. Great quality and I highly recommend.
We just bought this gate to keep our great granddaughter from falling down the stairs. The install went easily and quickly and it is quite sturdy and looks great! Then we discovered we had forgotten about the cats whose litter box is downstairs on the other side of the gate! Rather than take the gate down and return it - we took the smaller left-over panel and the larger panel down to a local welder who modified the larger panel with a pet pass through. A bit of touch-up paint and a re-install and it works great - and looks great!
This is the second time we have purchased this gate. We like this gate because it is very easy to operate and we really like the auto-close feature. We have another gate that is not auto-close and it's a little finicky to close. With our second gate, the plastic inserts that the extension pins slide into were installed upside down so the extensions couldn't be installed, but I was able to carefully pry them out and flip them to the correct direction without damaging anything.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited for this gate. It is a lot taller than the previous gate I had. Mine broke and with having a 16 month old and 5 months old I needed a new one right away. This gate is nice in terms it comes with additional pieces to extend it if you need a wider gate. Unfortunately, I hate it. The door only swings open one way. I like to have it open either way so I can always push the door away from me when I walk through. This one has a piece that blocks it from opening both ways. It also sticks and is really hard to close when it's open. This gate seems to be defective unless that is how they are supposed to be. It's not one hand friendly which is horrible when I'm walking with my baby in my arms, I can't get through.
I put it on the stairs. When I go up or down and holding a baby it's not comfortable because I have to be very careful he is not getting hurt from the sides of the gate or myself. I already got a blue mark on my behind from the plastic that sticks out that says warning. We initially purchased two of them but had to return one because it would t fit properly. It was either too big with the extension or two small without it. One good thing I can say is the Quality of the gate is good but bottom line it's not functional for me.
I measured from the plastic that sticks out till the knob where the door turns is 16” wide. I tried to comment the response I got from the company but didn't know how to respond. They claim it's 19” wide but I can prove it's not correct.
