this use to be my favorite bacon jerky but they have changed the way they prepare the jerkyband now it has no maple flavor and most of the jerky in the 2 bags i purchased were so hard and/or burnt i couldnt eat them. these pieces in this new bag are big but they are also so greasy you see the white grease on the pieces. if i cannot find the old bags i will NEVER buy this brand bacon jerky again.
I absolutely loved this. I only got one bag last time and really regretted it. Like someone else said: if you like maple bacon jerky (or just maple and bacon) then this is a great product for you. I do wish it was a bigger serving for the price, but it's still so darn good.
I fell in love with this bacon jerky because it wasn't overly salty like all of the other jerkys out there. However, it seems like the formula may have changed because the recent bag I purchased had burnt corners in it and also is too salty and lacking the maple flavor, just like the competition. It looks like I'll have to find a different bacon jerky to suit my needs.
I recommend sticking to beef jerky. I wanted to try these out but really just didn't like how they tasted. Also it seemed inconsistent, like some was rough, some was squishy, which felt gross. In the end, I still ate them. But will never get them again.
These had a strong flavor and were pretty chewy. Definitely dry and chewy. There was more bacon fat attached to the slices than I was expecting. I doubt we will buy this one again.
I just opened the package. Many pieces of jerky are covered with black rotted spots. Like I previously said, no thank you.
Everybody loves bacon right? And jerky is another favorite. But not together. it was an interesting idea but does not really work. You're expecting that Krispy crunchy taste you get with bacon, or that sweet sucker unit taste you get from jerky. putting them together was just a bad idea. Walmart products are usually spot on compared to the regular products so I doubt that a name brand version would be any better
Usually this brand is acceptable,but the bag today was just clumps of fatty lard with a tiny bit of bacon meat in the clumps. Not even in strips like normal but big clumps of knotted fat, lard, and maybe 10% bacon meat hidden in the folds. Really disgusting. I have stretched it out in the pictures so you can see it, but I had to rip the lard apart out of rounded knotted clumps.
If you hate the taste of Bacon and simply love the taste of syrup this is the bacon jerky for you. There is soo much syrup flavor youll smell it from across the room and while eating this so called bacon jerky all uyou will taste is the overwhelming syrup flavor so much so you will not taste the bacon in any way shape or form this so called bacon jerky was made by someone who obviously hates bacon. /yiou may aswell just buy some syrup and pour it straight into your mouth and that might come close to the taste and smell of this Maple flavored bacon jerky. Its like someone said mapled flavored bacon jerky but just hold the bacon. Wish they would make this without the maple flavor.
you would think the shoppers would look at what they are shopping for and if it is moldy think "would i want this?" get a different one. this is not a review of the product it is a review of the in store shopper.
