I wear these shoes daily. I walk and can run with the dogs in any terrain. I also then wear them to work as I work in an art studio and working environment with cement floors and have to go up and down ladders. They are comfortable, great color and good tread. I think they are true to size. I think the price is fantastic for the shoe.

I order shoes all the time and I really trust the reviewers on Columbia's site. I really wear a 4 1/2 and ordered these because they are a 5 and it said runs slightly small. Correct as usual. I use these shoes mostly for work and walks on the trails near my house. Great value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first purchased this shoe in my normal size, 8.5. They felt tight and my heel was rubbing on the back which I knew would cause blisters if I actually went hiking in them like I was planning. So I returned them and purchased a size 9 and they fit great. No blisters. Love this shoe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a 7 in all shoes and normally a 7.5 in boots (for socks). I bought these in a 7 and I have plenty of room for a hiking sock. I have been using these as my everyday work shoe and love them! The soles absorb impact really well and the body of the shoe has a nice amount of cushion. The laces are nice a sturdy and the gray color looks really nice.

I was able to wear these shoes immediately without needing a break-in period. They seem flimsy - very lightweight, but so far, so good. I haven't taken them on lengthy hikes yet. I'm normally an 8.5 and they fit me fine without feeling too snug. I don't know why it's listed as being slightly small - maybe the sizing is inconsistent. I got the Boulder color and the photos are pretty accurate My only regret is that I'm starting to dislike these breathable mesh shoes. Dust/dirt gets inside and they wouldn't work if it's raining. So my next shoe will be a waterproof style.

Just OK

The shoes are mediocre, but Columbia is the only company that makes women's size 12 hikers. It's unfortunate that women with large feet can't find a shoe that is comfortable and accommodates heavy hiking socks. Thanks Columbia for hanging in there, but could you put some padding in your insoles so the shoes are more comfortable? They are stable and solid; they're just not great.

What a smell! Not Columbia's fault!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a pair of these last year, both in waterproof and non waterproof. My theory was that the non-waterproof ones would be more breathable and therefore better for using for my groundskeeping/ vegetable farm jobs. The waterproof ones became my new hiking boots as my tiny ankles are swallowed by anything that comes up too high. Well here it is a year later. The waterproof ones are great, and surprisingly breathable. The non waterproof ones, however, are soaked through with dew after an hour of work! They smell like death, to the point where I can't even wear them in public. So pro tip....the non waterproof ones are VERY porous and don't hold up well at all to the rigors of heavy outdoor labor. As an avid hiker, I am not sure I would use them for hiking at all either for the same reason. So get the waterproof ones! 100% worth it and their low profile makes for an excellent hiking boot substitute. I am not a boot person at all...I wear barefoot shoes as long as the temp is over 50 or so. These shoes have the precision of foot placement I seek in a shoe while withstanding my 50-60 lb heavy pack. Columbia may want to just discontinue the non waterproof ones entirely though...they are kinda worthless!

Bummed and in pain.

Look really cool, but painful. I have worn them multiple times to break them in, but am still having big problems with them. Have worked a full day of high ropes (belaying) and walked around a full day and there was so much pain at the end of each. Giant blister on the side of my heel too. No way would I go running in these. Really glad I did not pay full price but still pretty bummed that I seem stuck w them as I gave them quite a while to break in but to no avail.
