I also love the bowl. I wish my Walmart had more of the evol dinners in those bowls. My Walmart (I get delivery) only has three of them: Fire Grilled Steak, Portabella %26 Goat Cheese Ravioli, and Butternut Squash %26 Sage Ravioli.
This was so good that it had me scraping the bowl for more. The cilantro and lime sauce was delicious. I don't know about the other reviews saying it was oily because mine wasn't. I'm about to buy another one, so I will see if it's just as good.
quite possibly the best TV dinner/ microwave meal I've ever had! steak was prepared well; pretty lean cuts! like that it was hormone-free! like that it was forestry sustainable packaging, no plastic: all recyclable cardboard. carbon neutral And made in the USA- extra bonuses really made me feel good about eating this meal. however all of that would not be worth it if it wasn't good.. to be honest with you, this meal was an excellent balance of healthy and cheat, with the pesto and the cheese! I added some other fresh veggies on top like crisped kale and it was even more amazing! I took a chance on this one. I've never bought a steak microwave dinner before but this was excellent! already have it in the cart to order another one!
The flavor of this is great! I love lime and cilantro. The only cons are that it seems unnecessarily oily. It's not like grease from meat, the meat is very lean, it seems like added vegetable oil. A few pieces of the meat were too tough to chew but the ones that were not tough were delicious.
Do yourself a favor, get a van of black beans, corn, beef fajita meat, rice, bell peppers and seasonings and you'll make a betterbowl than this with the amount of meat beyond the 2 in my bowl. I know better not to do this again!
the amount of food weighed just over 7oz. so, if they mean 9oz, including packaging, they should say that. its deceiving. amount of protein was pathetic at 0.42oz.
I ordered evol. 2 Fired Grill Steak for delivery. Only one was available. The box was bagged with cans of soup resulting in a crushed box. Upon opening the package to prepare my dinner, the plastic cover over the bowl was half-way open and contents from the bowl wasted in the box. I need a refund. I have images if necessary.
I usually keep these as a quick lunch or backup staple in my freezer. I just prepared one to discover there was not a single piece of steak in it! And, it was uncharacteristically oily.. I couldn't even eat the black beans, rice and vegetables because it tasted and felt like it had been doused in animal fat. Refund option no longer showing in delivery history.
There is no flavor or beef in my meal
We did not like these. I bought two. One had a bite of some kind of soft meat. We could not find any meat in the other one. The vegetables were very limp and mushy.
