This review is for the Lasko ceramic tower heater, 1500 watt. This heater was easy to put together and instantly warmed up my bedroom. It has a nice digital display on the front that is easy to read. The thermostat is programmable and has an 8 hour automatic shut off timer. The fan oscillates to spread the warmth evenly throughout the room. There are two heat settings as well- low and high. It also comes with a remote control that controls everything you can control on the main heater! I have no complaints at all about this heater- it does the job and it does it well. I will not hesitate to buy this heater in the future.
This tower heater works great! My home office can get chilly and this heater works great for it. I love being able to set a temperature and it shuts off once it hits it. I keep the remote on my desk and can easily change the temperature, turn it off or on with the remote. The heater has a clip to be able to hang the remote on it to keep them together. It's quiet and not distracting. I recommended it to my daughter who also has a chilly home office.
This is a very nice heater. It puts out a very ample amount of heat and it does it quickly. It is super quiet and simple to operate. It can be operated by remote or easy to use controls at the top front of the unit. It also is quite elegant in design.
Well I use this on my 3 season porch in the winter time. It's the only source of heat. It takes an hour or so for the porch to heat up to about 60°. After that it goes off and on and maintains the heat efficiently. I love the remote control feature which allows me to turn the heater on without having to open the door first. It is very quiet compared to past heaters I have used out there. It seems very safe and I'm very comfortable with it. There is no burning smell while using it. I have experienced this problem with other heaters. It has all the functions that you would need and a timer which comes in handy. Aesthetically it also looks great. It blends right in with the furniture and whatnot. The packaging was great and I found no defects or issues upon arrival. Porch is about a 15x10 but I would imagine this heater is capable of heating a bigger space easily.
This is a high-quality space heater. I feel safe leaving it in my 2.5 year old's bedroom (she isn't much of an explorer type though but rather gets up and leaves the room as soon as she wakes up). I LOVE the timer feature. This bedroom is the coldest in our home, so now we can turn the heat in our home down one degree at night. I leave this heater running for three hours after she goes to bed, and it keeps her room warm for most of the rest of the night. You can choose Lo or High settings easily. The buttons are really self-explanatory. The space heater does have a funky smell, but I am hoping that wears off. Easy to set up and plug in. I highly recommend (if you don't mind the smell too much).
The entry area in my home is located in the dining room and it is always so much colder. The Lasko 1500W Ceramic Electric Tower Space Heater comes with some assembly. However, it takes less than 5 minutes to attached the base. It comes with a remote that needs triple A batteries that are not included. The panel is easy to read with the digital temperature read out. With this unit you have the ability to set a timer, control the temperature 1 degree at a time. The unit does oscillate but it does so very slowly. It does produce a good amount of heat but you have to be pretty close up to it to feel the heat. It does the job for us.
I look for 4 things in a space heater: Heating capability, noise, safety, and portability (I need to be able to easily move it from room to room). This ceramic heater delivers really well in the first 3 areas, but could use a little improvement in the 4th. 1. Heating capability- This heater gets my freezing cold (albeit tiny) bathroom heated up to probably 80 degrees in about 5-10 minutes on high. The oscillating feature is awesome if more than one person wants to benefit from it. 2. Noise- It's really really quiet while it's running which is so nice if you need heat while doing something noise-sensitive, like zoom meetings, e-learning, etc. 3. Safety- One of the things I was worried about with this type of heater is that the front face plate would get too hot and that I would burn myself by accidentally touching it. BUT it doesn't get hot enough to really burn yourself on which is great. It also isn't as easy to tip over as I thought it would be. 4. Portability- I need to be able to easily move it from room to room. It's really lightweight, so that helps, but the hand grip is pretty poorly positioned so it's really hard to carry with one hand. It's like, too low on the back and not quite deep enough to get a good hold on. My other space heater has a similar grip handle but it's closer to the top and much easier to move around. I wish this one had a similar design. That's the only area this heater falls short. Overall it's a really great product and I'm getting a ton of good use out of it.
This ceramic tower space heater from Lasko works very well heating up my 10x12 office space on those extra cold winter days when I'm sitting at my desk for extended periods of time. I really like the oscillating feature that enables the fan to circulate heat in a range of motion. The timer is also a great feature to have for those occasions when you only want to run the heater for a certain period of time. I want to try this in my garage to see how well it will help melt snow off from under the car and plan to set it at a timer so I don't need to worry about forgetting to shut it off and having it run all night. It was very easy to assemble and seems to be well built. The remote control is not really necessary but I guess it's nice to have.
I have used Lasko products in the past and was satisfied so I was excited to try their Tower Heater. It runs very quiet and heats nicely. I like that I can set the temperature I want. It swivels, distributing the heat all over, heating the room fairly quickly. I like that it has a remote so that I may control it from across the room. However the swivel function doesn't work from my remote.
I guarantee that it will take longer to unpack the space heater then it will take you to put the base on the unit. It comes packed very well. You do have to put the base on the bottom of the unit. Everything comes with it. Just snap it together, put the cord through the bottom, and put the screws in that come with it. Super easy. The space heater being a tower is nice looking and doesn't take up that much space. It does come with a remote control. It does not come with batteries. It takes two “AAA” batteries. There is also a very small screw that comes with the remote to put in the back after you get the batteries in. I will start out with the cons: It does not have a shut off if it falls over. Pros: It does have an overheat option on it so if it gets too hot it turns off automatically. You need to unplug it to reset it. It does have a safety ceramic element so it stays cool to touch. You can set the temperature to automatic to keep it at a steady temp. But you can only do this on the high setting. If you set it at 70 it will heat to 72 then shut off. When it hits one degree below your setting it will kick the heat back in. You can also run it continuously and it will shut off after 8 hrs. You also have the option to set the temp. It gives a warm heat. I did not find it overly warm. For celsius or fahrenheit. I will use this occasionally when it is really cold. Please remember…..Never plug a space heater into an extension cord. Plug directly into the wall outlet.
