My wife has irritable bowel so she uses this when she eats FODMAPS. More enzyme per capsule than Beano and much cheaper. There are a lot of bowel/gas products out there so read ingredients and know what they do for your body. Everyone needs to do their homework to figure out what works for your body. We are all different.
I am grateful for the Equate Gas Relief and Prevention Enzyme Dietary Supplement, 100 count. I have no ability to digest beans! Brand name Beano is very expensive. The Equate version is extremely affordable and I usually buy several boxes at a time. I have used thos products more than 10 years. Very helpful
Same as Beano, but WAY cheaper!Kale, spinach, whole grains, broccoli, cauliflower, salsa, beer, wine, and alcohol all digest better. I never leave home without it.
To eat healthy, I have a lot of vegetables that can cause gas. I much prefer to prevent the gas with a naturally-occurring enzyme than try and treat gas with a man-made chemical after-the-fact. The active ingredient in this product is the same as that in Beano and has never been known to have any adverse side effects. It comes in a much more convenient capsule form, equal to 4 Beano tablets (for 2 servings of problematic vegetables) and is much less expensive than the Beano brand products. Keep this product!
Great product. Our daughter is diabetic and has a feeding tube. Her formula creates a lot of gas and she requires 3 of these tablets per meal to keep her stomach from swelling, that means 12 per day for her So we appreciate that this product works well and is value priced. Thanks Wal-Mart !!
I can not eat without suffering from bloating. One day on these and I can not believe I am not feeling the discomfort. I must say I have given up fast foods so that could be helping.
I started to have severe gastric distress when eating most foods last fall. I have had difficulty with onion, garlic, and peppers for decades and have taken Simethicone to mitigate issues when eating foods like chili and tacos. Simethicone alone suddenly stopped being effective and I was violently ill for days after eating some pizza snacks. I'm also lactose intolerant and always take some lactase enzyme when eating dairy. Doctor suggested trying alpha-galactosidase enzyme before trying more expensive prescription meds, and no problems at all as long as I remember to take one of these at the start of most meals.
This is a good product. Each pill equals 2 Beano pills which is the advised dosage. Each 100 of these pills equals 200 Beanos. These pills are great for anything that causes gas like poorly prepared beans where the soak water is not drained off, sometimes broccoli, cucumbers.
This is the (cheaper) equivalent of Beano, unless it has changed since I last bought Beano, and since my bowel problems require me to avoid gas as much as possible, while plant-based foods make up most of our diet, thanks to this supplement, I can eat beans without fear.
I do not think I offered this as a substitute for Beano. I wanted a tablet and NOT a capsule. How can I see my original order, and the final receipt for my order. I do not even know what I was charged for this item..
