Ours works great. Our older son broke the front plastic control arms misusing it but we easily fabricated some new ones out of 4 pieces of aluminum square tube and some new bolts.
Kinda disappointed with this product gifted it to our grandson that was only 9 months old back in December of 2020 and now that he is big enough ride it the motor starter to smoke and now won't run at all after only two uses
My wife and I purchased this for our two boys Christmas gift and had nothing but problems with it. First off we purchased because it was a two seater but both kids barely fit. Second, like others posted with one kid or both the power turns off on every hill. Third, the kids only played with it a few times and the battery stopped holding a charge and now it won't charge at all. Can't even turn the power on. Very disappointed with this purchase.
We have only had this for about 3 months and the battery life does not last. We have charged for the Recommend time and it still does not last for more than 10-15 minutes. The radio will only go to one station. We can scan for others but it always goes back to the same one. There is a 3 second delay when you press the start button and the car makes the start up sound. Only one of the buttons on the steering wheel makes a sound. Over all very disappointed with this product.
Purchased thinking it would be a great addition to the F150 my grandson has but no power. Looks great, independent suspension and working lights among other things but no power. We have a slope on our driveway (maybe 20-25 degrees). He has a bulldozer and F150 and both climb the driveway and hills in back with little problems but this thing cuts out then you wait and it will come back on but try again and it cuts out again. Flat surface no issues but any slope then nope....help push him. Too bad
Huffy is a staple in the bike industry. So one has to wonder why they didn't access their limitless supply of round tubular steel. The frame utilizes cheap square tube that looks to be 1/2", maybe 3/8's. I can see this as problematic down the road. Next is the wheel base. Yes, this looks really cool. My son was very excited and I also thought it was awesome it had a suspension system. However... the wheelbase is so wide that it can't fit through our gate entrance and we have to carry in sideways through. This places a lot of strain on the suspension system and axle. Another weak point. Then there is the age range. It says 3-12. That is laughable. First off, a 3 year old is going to run into everything in this beast. There is no parental safety control and all they have to do is flip the speed switch. My 5 year old is about at the max even at just 46lbs. I can't even imagine an 8yo trying to drive this thing around in rabbit mode at .0004 mph. It's a 4-7 max age range. Lastly, the big one. I'm referring to the MASSIVE turning radius. Our yard is somewhat narrow at around 18' usable. The steering linkage has a hard stop that makes it impossible to make the turn around, even with me guiding him. I used some channel locks to bend the tab back flat and maybe gained an extra 1.5 degrees because the linkage is also a limiter and the hard stop seems to just protect the wheels from hitting the fender. It's very frustrating. He can just barely make the turns now, but this means he has three options. An outer perimeter only lap, a figure 8, and Austin Powers mode. Realistically to enjoy this, here's what you need; Ages 4-7 < 60lbs Big open yard Low expectations on the life-span
worked twice, now it wont turn on. Do not buy!!! Also look at the warranty, 30 days for the battery and 60 days for electronics, I suspect that the reason is is so short is because the manufacturer knows that it is garbage and doesn't want to spend a fortune fixing there mistake.
Going to need a football field to complete a right turn, 50 yards for a left turn. Can't help but notice Huffy has no video of turning capabilities or sterling assembly. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy this vehicle. On the steering shaft there is a small weld that prevents the turn radius from being greater.
After assembling and charging for the recommended time the battery loses power after 10 mins. We made sure to try it with the radio off and on the slower speed to see if having it on drains the power but again...within 10 mins it needs to go back on charge. So disappointing. Not sure what else can be done. Debating now if we should return it.
My granddaughter got this for Xmas she weighs only 29lbs and she only rode it 4-5 times and now cord shows charged but it won't do anything.
