It doesn't get a whole lot easier than this. Straight out of the packaging I plugged into my '18 F-150 at it worked flawlessly. I measured with a tape measure from the ground to the top of my tire, it was 33". I'd read that sometimes you need to go a little bigger in the computer, but just to play it safe I kept it at 33" on the computer during the programming. It was off a little by like 2 mph so I parked the truck and re-plugged in. Second time re-programming the truck was even less time and I loaded it with 34". The next drive 60 MPH on the dashboard needle and 60 mph on GPS. Checked slow speeds from 15 all the way to 60 and it was spot on. The whole process took 20 minutes, including the test drives afterwards. And just by chance I had been messing with a throttle controller I got and was feathering the gas to make it rumble and I ended up with a check engine light blah blah. Broke out the Rough Country Calibrator and was able to confirm that the DTC as caused by me being an idiot and was able to clear it without going to the shop. I stopped being an idiot and no more engine lights. This thing is well worth the money.
Mine worked without having to update the programmer on an '18 XLT. I'm running 20" aftermarket wheels with 35x12.5 tires. As suggested by others here and on YouTube, I set my tire size less than what I have installed. I went with 33.75 and am spot on up to 80mph when comparing it to my GPS app's reading. I'm assuming programming it back to factory if/when I need to take it in for service will be as simple, but I've yet to attempt that. I will amend my review if that process isn't as friendly.
Worked great on my 2017 F150 3.5L EcoBoost Lariat. I spent the 10 minutes it takes to upgrade the firmware on the device before using it and had zero difficulties. I did not unplug all of the fuses like the directions state. I changed the stock 275/55R20s to 275/65R20s, which changed the tires from 31.9" to 34.1". At first I programmed the truck the 34" tires, which overshot it. I ended up programming the truck to 32" tires and it made my speedometer perfect. Highly recommend!
Got my 2020 F150 speedometer correct resulting in smooth transmission shifts . Extremely satisfied
Good item
Be sure to read the entire directions prior to using. Measure the actual tires don't go off the size on the side. Once those items are done, it's fairly simple and does the job.
I have purchased two of these devices one for my '22 F250 and one for my '19 ford ranger. Both worked as advertised and got the speedometer perfect for the oversized tires.
very simple and easy to use. the best part is that it does exactly what it says it will do. I went from 32" to 34" tires. plugged in the data and calibrated speedometer and transmission shift points. highly recommend this calibrator.
Worked as described. Needed a couple of attempts to get speedometer set correctly but the instructions are clear and easy to foliow.
A bit pricey, but does exactly as it says. Tire size for me ran a bit smaller than actual size to get speedometer right on. For Wrangler ultraterrain A/T 275/65/20 I ended up setting it at 32.75". Transmission shifts better than ever!
