Seems ok so far...

Very easy to put together. Sturdy enough for playing horse but not something you can dunk on. The rim is mounted into the plastic backboard so I also wouldn't recommend using a real basketball, it comes with a very lightweight plastic/rubber ball. A real ball is too heavy and I think the rim would begin to sag. Only had it a few weeks so it's too early to tell how it will hold up over time.

Ive on the product previously so I knew what to expect. It was delivered ahead of schedule but in disrepair and missing pieces. I had to replace two missing washers and then one piece back into shape.

Rim broke after 2 weeks

This is a good product. However, the description clearly states that they welcome a slam dunk. The rim however disagrees. It snapped like balsa wood after 2 weeks. I like how sturdy the rest of the product is, so I will order another rim. Hopefully it was a weak rim and the next one will last.

Flimsy for how much I paid

It was easy to assemble and looks pretty good. But the rim is too flimsy and where it attaches to the backboard is an indented thin area of the plastic. It needs the support of a solid metal plate behind it. I feel pretty confident that the rim will be bent before the end of this pool season. I am also concerned that it will be torn away from the plastic backboard unless I reinforce it will a metal plate. The problem is you need a stainless steel plate or it will rust. The other downside is that it does not adjust to a high enough height for older kids. My previous pool basketball hoop was a Huffy Pool Shark which was much sturdier and adjusted to a higher height for older kids. Unfortunately I had a Walmart gift card to use and they didn't carry the Huffy Pool Shark this year so I tried this Cool Jam product. I had the Huffy Pool Shark for 6 years and the supports finally rusted out. When this one goes (which may be at the end of this year) I will go back to the Huffy Pool Shark.
