Plug and play, it just works.
I needed a 4 port simple switch to network 4 Computers together that I could produce radio contact logs for our Amateur Radio club. This switch worked perfectly for our mission.
I needed more connections for my garage setup, so I got the NETGEAR Switch, and it's made everything way smoother! With 8 Ethernet ports, I can now connect all my devices without any trouble. The best part? It's totally plug-and-play—just plug in your devices, and it works right away without needing to mess with any settings or software. I also like how it can sit on a desk or be mounted on the wall for convenience. It's also super quiet, so I don't even notice it running while I'm working out in the garage. One minor downside is that you need to make sure your devices are close by unless you have long Ethernet cables. Other than that, it's perfect for what I needed. Easy plug and play. Randomly plugged in the uplink and other devices and it just worked. Perfect quick solution to get us up and running until our managed switch can arrive.

I was wondering why the price was discounted, but I can see the package has Return Verification on it. And some one signed for a "Box Inspection". Whatever, it works fine.
It does not matter which port is used to connect ISP-provided router, the unit instantly auto-negotiated as the 'Up Link'.
The product was exactly what I was looking for and it's a good quality product, I was able to find it a little cheaper at other vendors, but it was worth the extra cost for the convenance of getting it same day.
this item was exactly what I needed! I currently have spectrum internet with a download speed of 400 megabytes per second and with my previous splitter I was not able to take advantage of the full 400, I was barely breaking 150. however with this one I was willing to the 300s and am completely satisfied with my purchase.
I'm no expert, but the router set up easily and seems of good quality. The ony issue I have is that it says 8 ports so one would think they can connect 8 devices plus their Lan cable. No its only 7 plus the Lan. Very confusing and disappointed when I realized that. Maybe if I knew more about routers I would have knew that, but I don't know much just wanted to hardwire my 5 eero pros and 3 beacons.
