Super comfortable, great fit and good style. I've had a bunch of low top Merrells before, this is my first boot. They are really comfortable out of the box, perfect for anything active. Would definitely recommend.
If you have a wide forefoot and narrow heel you will be happy with this shoe. Hiking ready out of the box. Deep enough to accommodate an orthotic. Ver sad that they seem to be phasing out the the Yokota.
Very happy with the comfort and quality. Was primarily a Nike customer for years but so many quality issues in recent years, which were denied by warranty but thankfully the retailer admitted numerous issues had me looking for something that would last.
I train competition bird dogs as a hobby. To be competitive, I have to be walking outdoors through field and forest in all conditions for hours every week of the year. I need a light weight boot with stability for my old feet and ankles. Merrell Yakota waterproof are perfect for me.
The boots are comfortable and give good support. The laces on the other hand do not stay tied
I bought them because of the width and their cost. I haven't had them long but they have been waterproof in light rain and packed snow. Their insole is thin but the boot bottom feels robust, sturdy, and with noticable cushioning. Aside from my issue with the insole and provided they stand the test of time (I have heard the lacing system can break in places), I'd buy them again without hesitation. Now if only a wide, waterproof hiking boot was made with more style. . .
Ordered online. Came very quickly. I have high arches and wide feet. 9.5W fits perfectly AND are waterproof for early morning heavy dew dog walks. A. very good purchase. Thank you Merrell
At least half size too big. I've been wearing only Merrell shoes as my everyday footwear and separate ones for work for 14 years and these ones are a half inch too big, I replaced the insoles with a decent work insole and they fit real nice.
I got these shoes for work, as soon as the arrived quality and craftsmanship is there as you expect from Merrell, however the shoes run big in the heel as many users already wrote unless u got some big feet these shoes might no be for you.
I'm a huge fan of Merrell boots having used them exclusively for the last 10 years. A tread lug ripped off the last pair of Moab's I had but I assumed that was from the many miles and rough use I put them through. But a tread lug on my latest pair of Merrell Yokata's ripped loose after about 2 months of owning them and less than 3 weeks of actual around town wear... very light duty wear at that. What good are hiking boots if the tread lugs rip off walking around town? I hope that Merrell's quality isn't slipping. We will see...
