I purchased this game for my 10 year old son. He was so excited to play this game with his cousin from out of town. Good family game keeps the kids entertained.
It's got the old school mario games from way back when. All the way back to N64. You'll love the nostalgic of almost losing friends and having fights for unplugging controllers.
We really love the interchangeable amount of time you can chose to play the main event game. Game is up to four players. It has an option to practice the side games and gather coins through side games if the kids just enjoy playing those. Fun for the whole family or just the adults if free time is ever available. Only negative would be that there is only five boards available indefinitely. Some of them get a little repetitive %26 we tend to just play our favorites. We would love to be able to unlock other boards for different gameplay just as you unlock stickers, music, etc. overall we really enjoy this game and will continue to play. I have already recommended to others
I have my grandson over almost every day. I am not a proficient game player. So we struggle finding a game we can play together where we both can enjoy it. Some minigames are hard and he does good on them. But there are some games that I can play and win. The basic game is just the luck of rolling dice and choosing which way to go. After each round, everyone gets to play a minigame. Some he wins but when I can win some of them he can't, he is just as happy for me as I am for him. And I have to say that I think the graphics are pretty good.
This game was fun!! However, we were expecting it to be like the first version of Mario Party for Switch. It's definitely not nearly as cool, there are less extras, you can't play the same partner/team boards… we have much more fun on the original game. I actually seem to end up playing this newer Superstars version myself just to make sense of the $60 price point. Definitely not as good. Fun, yes. I like other mario games much more. I got the 2 in 1 Mario world and bowsers fury. That was cheaper and way more fun!
The game is so much fun! I play it almost every day! The only thing is that it only has 5 board games? But it has like 94 minigames, I believe. I wish there were more board games to make it more interesting. I like that you are able to just play all the mini games without having to go through playing the board game.
Overall, the game is just ok. The mini games are great, and the CPs are challenging to play against; however, the full game board takes forever to play, and you can't skip of the CPs' turns. Also, you must have 4 player and/or Caps, which makes each round last 5 minutes.
Arrived damaged
This listing was originally for Super Mario 3D All Stars. It was listed at $50. (If you're aware of that game, you know it's discontinued, hard to find, and pricey). I bought it immediately. Once the shipping notification popped up, I opened it and saw that the listing title, picture, and description were changed to Mario Party Superstars. I immediately cancelled the order, however Walmart still shipped and delivered the WRONG game. This is absolutely fraud and a bait and switch scenario. If Walmart knew they made a mistake with the listing, they should have been upfront about the mistake and cancelled existing orders.
It literally says US physical edition in the title of the game but yet they tried to send me a imported version and scam/take advantage of me hoping I wouldn't care or know the difference in value … tryna screw over the customer so they can make some extra money … the absolute worst of a company
