Was skeptical that this would help "boost" signal in my home (3500sqft). It works great - and thanks to this little gadget, I am now a wifi super hero to my teen! Signal is now strong enough to reach my back porch, the driveway on the opposite side of the house. Excellent purchase.
My router is downstairs in a 3200 SqFt house. The upstairs bedrooms were pulling a very week signal, after a quick and easy set up I was able to boost the furthest bedroom internet speeds from 5mbps (very slow) to 70 mbps (fast). It made for some happy teenagers! Quick 1 day shipping and very reasonable price for the speed increase!

my garage is roughly 30 feet from my house and my security camera is 20 feet from extender. so about 50 feet being conservative probability farther from my router. the camera loads up the fastest on my security system now
so far ...ok....no issues yet. We were having a "lost signal because the main router is in the basement. We switched to Hulu after 20% monthly increases with ATT (best thing we did!!) We also use digital antennas . Enough channels for news and entertainment. DITCH ATT/SPECTRUM !!
Installed new Netgear router due to problems with old router. Was disappointed that it didn't seem to have as strong of signal as the old router, upstairs from router tablets would drop off WI FI. Bought this a little skeptical, but seems to have solved the problem. I still ocassionally get low signal warning on my PC, but stopped tablets from dropping WI FI. Set up was pretty simple, had it set up and connected to it in about 15 min.
This product was suppose to be easy to hook up but couldn't get them to work. Call Tech support and was informed I'd have to buy a firewall plan so I'll wait till I can find someone that's familiar with this kind of work. Can't say whether I'd recommend this product or not.
The extender caught fire with less than seven months of usage. Luckily it was caught in time enough to unplug it. It was plugged in the hallway with nothing else in the outlet. Before that the internet went in and out constantly.
The QuickStart guide provides instructions to connect using either the WPS connection with your home router or an installation assistant on the web browser that should open automatically once connecting to it. However, this particular model is not compatible with the online assistant. It does not have an ethernet port for direct connection. Therefore, this model is ONLY compatible with routers that have the WPS connection button. I have the Spectrum Wi-Fi 6E Router and it does not have the WPS connection. Check your router before purchasing. I have attached a screenshot of the compatible models for the web assistant to help with users looking to purchase NetGear extenders, but do not have a router with WPS connection. **ONLY GIVING 1 STAR SINCE I CANNOT SPEAK ON ITS FUNCTIONALITY. ONLY INITIAL CONNECTION**
I spent 3 hours following the directions to make this extender work. I used a desk top a laptop, phone and TV. The instructions are a circle of insanity, never working or getting the extender to work. I have downloaded the mywifiext.net on all devices. It works on none. A total watse of time and money
