I have had this for years and I love it. I use it 3-5 times a week on mine and my two daughters hair. I have tried others, but I end up using old faithful. It heats up fast, I can change the heat and you can straighten or curl with it. I just discovered how to do the latest flip (think old school Farrah Fausett) and it still works great. It has been dropped, stepped on still works. I also love the auto shut off, because I can be forgetful! Great product for african american hair, and at this price that is hard to find.
This strightener is the best I have had it for about a year and a half and it still works just like the day I got it.I use it pretty much everyday.It gets hotter quickly in about 30 seconds to 1 minute and I am able to strighten all my hair in about 10-15 minutes.I think this product is terrific for the price.

It is a very good appliance. I am very happy with the waves it puts into my hair. This is the fourth one of these that I'm buying - I had two before, I'm using one now and this is my extra. I never want to be without it.
this product is awesome!!! i dont what wat other people are talking about, this product rocks, ive had it for 3 days now and i useit twice a day, only cause im obsessed with it. i thought it would be cheap and not work but i was wrong instead this product works very good, it has alot of heat settings, and it straightens perfectly. the price paid was definately worthh the value!
Love this model! This is my second one. First one lasted many years. It's so much easier to use than any of the several others I've tried. The size is just right. the curved handle makes it very comfortable to control. Only feature I'd improve on is the tension of the floating plate. It needs to be just slightly tighter to better grip thin sections of hair (such as sections of bangs). Still the best on the market and reasonably priced.
Alot of people are too much in a hurry and decide to spend like $100 on a flat iron but I've had this product for almost 3 years and I have very thick hair and even though the plates are pretty small you have to take your time and go slowly and it works perfectly. The Turbo-boost helps alot because it doesn't really get as hot as I'd like. It only takes about 15 min to do my hair with this.
This was actually my very first hair straightener. I had for about a year and it worked wonderfully.. until it broke one day. I did like this product, but I didn't have the money at the time to get a new one so I had to super glue the top part of the iron back on. It lasted me about another 6 months before it bit the dust. I recommend this to someone that is busy all the time and doesn't have time to sit for a half an hour to straighten you're hair, but be warn it can break.
I had this a while back, it lasted me almost 2 years. I have really thick hair and I only straighten about twice a week. For the price I was very suprised how long the heating element held up for (almost 2 years, it still worked when I tossed it out, just not good enough for me) and how durable it was. Not wonderful, but for $12 I was impressed.
The i series straightener I bought 7 years ago was better. It heated up more thoroughly and it displayed the temperature. I could have it at 355 degrees for my hair and it felt hot. I have it up on max setting on this one, supposedly 400 degrees, but it doesn't feel that hot and doesn't do as well on my hair. I have thin straight hair that is super easy to straighten. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who have tough hair.
