I purchased Cuisinart 12 cup coffee machine as a replacement to my broken Cuisinart. In past having gone through coffee pots every six months I took the chance on then a more expensive machine to see if it would last longer. To my surprise it lasted 16 years with using it daily and making average of three pots of coffee. Best tasting coffee to! Self cleaning feature is great as well as auto on and off. I keep my heat setting on medium and very rarely use the 1-4 cup feature. Love this machine and have recommended to my friends. Con: New one has black plastic back when old one was stainless, cheaper look. Cheaper to make I guess.
Love the Cuisinart brand. Their style, their reliability and most of all their customer service. I've got the first generation of this same model coffee machine in my Florida home that is going on 10 years of everyday use. This new model swapped stainless for black stainless look. Everything else appears the same, same great features and design , machine does brew slightly stronger and faster than my 10 year old babe but no complaints on that.
Some years back my kids gave me this coffeemaker as a gift and it made great coffee with lots of helpful features. So when it finally gave out there was hardly a second thought but to get another of the same. The main feature that makes a difference in brewing is the full blown charcoal filter inside the water reservoir. It also brews really quickly. Love my coffeemaker!
I am very pleased with the Cuisinart coffee pot. Most coffee pots advertised they are no drip coffee pot which usually is not true. The Cuisinart coffee pot advertisers no drip and is completely true. I love the fact I can pour coffee from the pot and it does not drip :-) also, let's not forget the flavor of the coffee. You can set the strength of the flavor which is a bonus. Thank you CUISINART!!!
Simple operation, easy cleaning and great price. I couldn't be happier with my first ever coffee maker
This coffee pot brews quickly, is attractive, and makes great coffee. It has an auto brew option and self clean.
In the last 5 years I have previously used 2 Cuisinart models and 1 other brand. I have been drinking coffee since 1961 and brewing it since 1968. None of my previous makers are as full-featured as this latest "Brew Central Model." Features are helpful: 1. Able to make up to 4 cups quickly. 2: Has adjustable carafe heat... I can drink the coffee right away without having to add an ice cube. 3. Once set up you seldom have to change any settings. There are two things that I still would like to see improved. 1. The liquid crystal clock display is not illuminated and difficult to read. I use a penlight to be able to read it. 2 the control knobs work well but there needs to be a pointer as the white stripe is difficult to see. For a person with poor vision the printing is difficult to read. As stated this is the best coffee maker I have ever used. If the items I mentioned could be improved I would rate it with 5 stars. Overall value is excellent! I am a 3rd generation U.S. Navy Veteran and my father and grandfather have been roasting, grinding and brewing coffee since 1906.
I bought this coffee maker to replace another Cuisinart of which the heating plate rusted after 3 years. Overall the coffee maker is fine what I do not like is that you cannot see the water level, it has interior level markers which is a very bad design. It also has a “flip” type on/off switch, I would prefer a button.
This unit replace a previous Cuisinart coffee maker I had for many years.... Brewing is great!! But the "retro toggle switch" seems very cheap and the no back lit display is very veryhard to see or read.... The carafe doesn't have a sensor to detect that there is still coffee in it .. must be preset for fixed intervals. I didn't notice at the time but this "style" for the same price also comes in another version that has all the features mentioned above.. do get that one instead.. just my opinion.
I bought this for the color. It's a beautiful metals red that matches my microwave, toaster, coffee canister and other things in my kitchen, however, I have it only two stars because it is impossible to read the clock (it doesn't have any light behind it and doesn't illuminate ). Also you can't read any of the options such as brew, auto on or off, temperature control such as low, medium, high, or program. It is not only written so tiny but the writing is written in black which is impossible to see on the red color. If it was written in white you MIGHT be able to make out what's there. I have to literally use a flashlight to see my options. It makes average tasting coffee but very frustrating to have to use a flashlight to select my options or see the time on the clock. However it is a beautiful metallic red color but very user unfriendly.
