perfect for adult commuting or shooting to the grocery store. great. fast enough for this 66 yr old lady with shoulder problems, and crappy vision. easy to put a U lock on, or padded chain lock. it takes a while to get used to how to fold and unfold, but once you're used to it, the folding makes sense. quite heavy to lift if your flabby and out of shape, but a younger chap can carry this quite easier easily. the brakes are a bit choppy, meaning they kinda' go "thump thump" rather than a smooth slow, but that could just be my being skilled at applying brakes. all in all, this is a perfect mid-level scooter for adults or older teen. the lights that come with it, are bright and easy to apply. BANG ON! M. ILLINOIS USA
Best product ever. Totally amazing scooter. Razor has really out done themselves. E prime lll rock.
My family was so excited to get the Razor Prime e III scooter! Straight out of the box we could tell this was going to be a hit in our household. Within 5 minutes it was assembled and after 8 hours of charging we were off! Words can't explain how amazing this thing is. With speeds up to 18 mph and 50 minutes of ride time, this scooter is unlike any other we have seen. It's so easy to maneuver and it's cool because it has a hand and foot brake. This thing also FLIES on the open road. We could not have gotten this at a better time. We are all fighting over it...daily. Now to decide which Razor scooter to get next! What I like about this scooter is that it is quite on smooth roads and it picks up at a fast speed when you want it to. What I also like about this scooter is that it has a headlight and tail light which is useful in dark environments. The battery is very good. It can easily go 15 miles distance based on your terrain. It's a great commuter scooter. One of the improvements that could be implemented is when the battery is around 60%, the scooter starts decreasing it's maximum speed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The scooter is a little heavy, but it does move well. It gets up to about 10 mph, but I am also a little heavier so my weight also contributed to slower speeds than advertised. The scooter instructions says to charge up to 8 hours, but even when drained almost to 0% it was fully charged in under 5 hours using the provided wall charger. I liked having the light for a few night rides that I did around the neighborhood, but it is a little too bright for oncoming cars. I had a few neighbors tell me that it blinded them when riding towards them. The scooter handles well on dry and wet roads. I had to ride on the grass to avoid a family and some dogs in one area... it will not run on grass at all. It did well in loose gravel, sand, even some mud, but NO GRASS. The scoot has a great design and feel, but may be too heavy for ladies. The one thing I did not like very much is the ability to fold the scooter for storage. Since the scooter is so bottom heavy it makes it a bit harder to fold it without smashing your hands or knocking your head with the handle bar. It's a nice feature, but I don't like it very much. Overall, I was impressed by the ride time and reliability of the materials.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product about a week ago and I can tell you I can't stop riding it! I look forward to riding it everyday after work. It's surprising the amount of speed it has even with a full size adult riding it. The battery life is great, I just charge it when it starts to get around 25%. The only thing I would improve just a little is make the board a little wider for your feet. I wear a size 12 shoe so it's a bit crowded but still SO MUCH FUN!
On the 2nd use( less than 30 minutes of ride time) the front wheel bearings went out on both of the scooters i got for my kids at Christmas. Will be contacting the company to resolve issue.
Overall I love the ease of use of this scooter. The range seems to be okay, but need to wait for a few months to see how this performs. First impression of rusts in the stem is not good, but not to a point resulting a return. Open Box Not too good actually. I found some rust areas (along the stem), this is unfortunate since I bought the first Razor scooter in 1998 and still has it working great. I bought this mainly due to Razor's quality, but I'm disappointed with the rusts. :( Ride The ride is pretty smooth and pretty agile. The standing area is big enough for both feet on it. It's comfortable and not slippery. Speed I noticed the speed is faster when it's fully charge. Top speed becomes lower when the charge drop to about 75%. Storage Pretty easy to fold/unfold once you are used to it. You need to wiggle the level a bit to get it unlocked so it folds/unfolds
The scooter is nice with good range, speed and pricing. I bought it as gift for my nephew. Found out inflating the front wheel is nearly impossible unless I purchase another tool rather then a general bicycle pump. The pin is small with no room to use general bicycle pump to inflate the tire. They could have designed it better.
Front tire never holds pressure. Bar is too short for average height. Not enough power to go up small hills. Battery lasts only about 15-20 mins.
