[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a few days ago the SanDisk Professional 1TB G-DRIVE and it the perfect Hard Disk Drive to save your most important files, data, pictures etc... In the package you will find the HDD itself and two cables, one USB-3, USB-C and one USB-C, USB-C. This is very handy because you do not need to buy extra adapters depending on your computer. The bring up is more than easy, just plug it!!! If you have a windows system or a chrome book you need to format the disk preferably in NTFS for very big files. The speed is there, it takes seconds to copy most of your files. The real big plus of this HDD is its robustness, it is not afraid of a bit of water or falling in the ground. It makes it ideal to save you most important data. I copy all my kids pictures and movies and all other important files on this disk. If you are looking for a very reliable and robust HDD, I recommend this one.

The transfer speed is impeccable at 5Gbps per second. The exterior has a rubber bumper so it's protected. With 1 TB of storage, I have plenty of space to store all my videos and picture.
This drive serves an important function for home users too, providing a relatively small-form drive at a reasonable price which can survive an occasional drop or jar without losing data or being crippled. I purchased this for a neighbor for her use and my peace of mind.
I have used a number of external drive in the 15 years I've used Mac. This is hands down the best unit. Especially for traveling purposes

It is USB 3.1 Gen 1 and Thunderbolt 3 compatible and the anodized aluminum enclosure provides strength and resilience to the HDD within. It is rain and dust resistance and has a crush resistance for 1000lb weight. It is ready to be used with Mac HFS+ and works well with Windows via reformat capability. A great handy ready to use HDD for every day use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a great SDD external drive! It is extremely fast! A full 4k movie copies in just minutes! It is also rugged, so I can take it with me wherever I go! More than enough speed for me! And I'm not warried that it's going to break as it's so well protected.
The instructions in the box is inadequate. No mention that this is formatted to work with Mac and need reformat with no instructions on how to accomplish that. However the person on the customer helpline sounds like from India was very helpful and got it done. Now it works beautiful
This is my 2nd ArmorATD (4TB & 5TB). I use 'em for portable, encrypted, backup storage. Have no problems using with my Mac (OS X & Linux), and PCs (Win 10 Pro & 11 Pro). I reformatted each into two partitions (NTFS and exFAT) for extra convenience and compatibility with the encryption software I use. I have portable SSDs for the same use (G-Drive and MyPassport) I am under the impression that traditional HHDs are more reliable in ensuring the backup file integrity over time.
WORST DRIVE EVER.... SLOW TO RESPOND, takes forever to access my info.... bought this to replace my 5tb and sorry I did....no comparison....the 5tb is BETTER
