I love its sleek look and it performs everything I need it to do. It also matches my dishwasher. I love them both. My stove is the next to replace.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our appliance repairman who is not an authorized Bosch dealer (darn) highly recommended to get all Bosch appliances as they have a reputation of long lasting and few repairs so Bosch appliances are the only ones we considered or reviewed. The appliances we replaced were almost 20 years old. Lettering is faint and small, and difficult to read; beeper signal is on the quiet side and it keeps beeping if using Timer Set Mode until you open the door or click Clear/Off; however, if you reheat something for 1 1/2 minutes, it beeps only once (3 short beeps and no reminders). There are 2 fan speeds but only one light mode. Mostly satisfied with this microwave (except for the faint print) which we basically use just for reheating or defrosting.
Looks great and performs great, but control panel is almost impossible to read. Also, control panel is made of soft rubber material that quickly scratches and looks unattractive.
I purchased this microwave over a year ago because of it's sleek appearance and perfect fit over the range to replace the microwave that I had over 10 years. While I still like the look, I was dissapointed that the control panel was not lit and was hard to see the small print, especially for the fan and the light. Also, there is no way to stop the turntable from turning if you were heating a rectangular pan. However, the most frustrating was that it now trips the breaker and I troubleshooted and it must be a bad switch for the door somewhere else on the control panel. Was there a recall on this model or is there something that can be done to prevent the unit from tripping the breaker?
I am sorry, Bosch, for giving you only 2 stars. mainly becouse the key pad function letters are virtually invisible - one can hardly see them, in part because they are dark grey on a black pad, and not even lit from behind. I acually had to place small tabs to know where the function button is located. Luckily I can return it to the vendor.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved my 2.5 yr old Bosch microwave until this month, it tripped the circuit breaker a couple times, and now will not power up at all. Called the Bosch service number 800-944-2904, phone rings once then goes dead, so no one to talk to! Clearly based on other reviews there is a defect with this model, others have experienced the same. This microwave is 2X the price of a new GE (make I used to have) and I got at least 10 years out of my last on. I have service coming out next week and will update this thread with the outcome.
Very disappointed that this appliance was not made to last. It's very difficult to install over the range microwaves. Not something you want to do every two years. The cost of service is close to the price of a new unit. That is so terrible for the environment. Aside from the common breaker tripping issues, we were disappointed with the lack of functions and features. Buttons are not backlit. It's hard to find the light button if it's dark. Would not purchase again, but I am sort of forced to or I will affect the resale value of my property by having mismatched brand appliances. Maybe Bosch shouldnt be in the microwave buisness, just as they are known for not having reliable refrigeration.
