[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome espresso maker! It is a great size to sit on your countertop, and has a nice look too. It's so great to be able to make delicious espresso drinks in my own home. I highly recommend getting this! It's changed my mornings for the better and the drinks always taste really good and are hot
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh my gosh. Its so neat. I was so excited. It was easy to use. Easy to put together. It made great espresso.i made espresso for all my friends. They loved it. They want one now. My espresso maker is made with high quality material. It will last for years. The instructions were easy.to follow. I love my espresso maker
This machine is good for a start of my small business. I had no difficulties by using it for the first time. I'm not a pro yet but I wil get there 😁😉
For a machine at this price, being able to produce such quality espresso is already fantastic. I love this machine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this little espresso maker, and would have given it five stars, had it not arrived with one of the rubber feet missing. It wobbles a lot because of that. Makes my fave cappuccino quickly and easily. Set up was super quick. Just wash, assemble, and go! It makes great coffee, and the black-and-silver finish match all my kitchen appliances, so it looks pretty sitting on my countertop. Not too noisy, either. About like my old coffeemaker. It will be getting daily use, now that I don't have to go out to get my cappuccino any more. I love the large water reservoir, too, as that allows you to make multiple cups without having to refill it. It's got a bit of a learning curve, to figure out what works best for your taste, but it's not rocket science. I appreciated the laminated card that came with it, with the different coffees explained. All things considered, I love my new Hamilton Beach Espresso Maker, and I hope it will last a long time. Just need to get that fourth rubber foot and it will be perfect!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love coffee and I've enjoyed espresso and cappuccino on occasion, and I received this Hamilton Beach specialty maker for exploring home espresso. For those of you who are familier with making your own espresso, you might find this review basic and perhaps boring, but for the neophytes like me, this might help you to decide if this unit is for you. The bottom line is, it does make a great espresso in my opinion. The finished product looks and tastes like what I drank in Italy while on vacation. To make the espresso is a rather involving sequence. This is not a plug and play, or fire and forget machine, it requires the maker to be present and observant while it brews because there's nothing automatic about it. You turn it on, tamp the ground espresso into the filter, and place it into the filter holder. You then must align the filter holder into the machine by feel as you can't see this. There's no locking mechanism, so you just turn it counter-clockwise until it stops. Once the green ready light comes on, you press the pump button and wait. You had better watch closely because it doesn't take long, about 30 seconds for two shots. At this point, you must push the pump button again to stop it, or you're going to have a mess as it doens't turn off by itself. The water reservoir holds about 50 oz. which is enough to make a whole lot of 3 oz. cups of espresso. Here's what I find a tad negative about this process; 1. In the “How to Use” instructions, it states “Ensure no grounds are on the rim of filter holder”. So far every time I've used it I spent time brushing off grounds that get all over. I'm new at this and perhaps there's a way to avoid the excess grounds getting all over, but so far this alludes me. (*See note 1 below) 2. Aligning the filter to the filter holder. There is a dimple pressed into the filter exterior which shows exactly where it fits into the filter holder. This dimple isn't easily spotted so I painted a bit of white-out over the dimple making viewing this alignment easier. 3. Aligning the assembly to the machine. You can't really see how it aligns without bending way over to see it. It is more or less by feel and I'm confident, given experience, this won't be an issue. I believe care needs to be taken as to not cross thread the holder our you can ruin the machine. And what do I like about the Hamilton Beach Espresso maker? 1. When it's ready, it makes a very delicious espresso very quickly. Wow! What a rush! Looking forward to trying different brands of espresso now. I believe I could just get hooked on this very easily. I'm quite happy with this machine, I just need to gain experience. *Note 1; I just received my order of pre-measured espresso pads, or pods which makes things much cleaner, just insert a pad or pod into the filter basket. No grounds to mess with. Note 2; I can't figure out how to add photos.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleased to have the opportunity to review the Hamilton Beach Espresso and Cappuccino Maker. Getting it out of the box and set up was extremely easy. There aren't a lot of intricate pieces to make it confusing or difficult. It was quite a bit lighter than I expected and several pieces did feel flimsy but they were fine after use. I had the same espresso maker for years and years. A little single unit, possibly even a Hamilton Beach if I remember correctly, that I was so used to that I could make espressos or cappuccinos in my sleep. When it died on me I replaced it with Moka Pot. So, it's been awhile since I used an actual machine. That alone was intimidating. I took it step by step, repeating the process a few times before I actually brewed, and was relieved at how easy it all ended up being! If I could suggest one thing overall, read the instructions and go thru the steps until you don't need the instructions anymore. You'll be a pro in no time! Measuring your cofffee, tamping it down, brewing, steaming or frothing your milk, it'll become second nature. Hamilton Beach really does make it that easy! During my usage I noticed that it wasn't a very loud unit. A+ for that! I did have a bit of spatter during the end of the brewing cycle but nothing terribly messy. After usage a quick wipedown and wash of the brew head, filter holder, etc..., and you're all set for your next cup. It's a nice little unit for a double espresso maker and fits well on the counter or a small coffee bar. I used it with already ground espresso coffee that I had but will definitely be trying it with fresh ground beans soon to see how it does.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought after unboxing the Hamilton Beach Espresso Maker it would be easy to get going! Boy was I wrong. I did everything according to the directions and my espresso still was not brewing! I went through all of the troubleshooting steps and everything seemed ok but it still would not brew. I thought maybe it was because I put too much espresso in the pod so I emptied some out and still it would not brew. Finally after numerous tries, it decided to brew! The machine seems pretty loud while brewing but once my espresso was done, it was very good! I love how it brews one or two cups at a time. It was easy to clean. I tried it again a few days later and was happily able to brew a wonderful cup of hot espresso!
This machine didn't work from day one. The handled part where you put espresso leaks every time it's brewing, so hot espresso water spills all over the counter. There is no sensor to shut off the flow of water after its done brewing. Unless you watch like a hawk and manually stop it, you end up with watery coffee. Also, it doesn't create the nice little foam that normally comes out as the last part of brewing espresso.
I cant remove the espresso holder from the filter holder to change it from the deep holder to shallow holder.
