I did a lot of research and it you w want to run 4k gaming this was the best monitor with the right specs and right price and a brand i can trust that goes a long way.
This new ROG Strix XG43UQ is brand new in my studio. I,ve had it just 3 days. So a bit early on full review. However, After turning in a 43" acer predator, and an AORUS HO48U OLED, and struggling to set up up the usual suspects: basics, brightness/color/hdr/, etc. very frustrated with both units. Then brought the XG43UQ,....it was like the heavens opened. Everything worked right out of the box. Yet, I could still go into settings menu and tweak the basics to a truer tuneup to where I was more familiar with. Indeed, everything was improved and worked so much quicker. Yeah, I like this unit a lot. I'm keeping it! So, c'mon XG43, keep chugging. Thanks ASUS for an excellent product. I'm impressed. Word of caution with this....Do NOT use Windows display settings at all, unless extending with a projector. Use the Use the ASUS side panel menu with the remote, and do you selections there.
Picture looks amazing with a PS5. I always bought Dell and Alienware monitors in the past and I'm really impressed so far. Onboard speakers aren't bad but I'd recommend a 2.1 Klipsch speaker instead. Has a great metal stand that comes all ready installed. Comes with a remote and plenty of cables.
From the first time I seen one of the rog strix xg43uq monitors I have wanted one,it's absolutely huge on my game desk and I love it,is works beautifully with both the gaming desktop with an Nvidia 3080 ti graphics card, with a 1.4 display port cable it runs 4k resolution with ease, but was designed for the Xbox series x with a 2.1 hdmi which it also runs beautifully at 4k,it took a while to calibrate for the best picture but it's beautiful now,it is hard to game on my 32” asus gaming monitor because it seems so small in comparison lol, this is not a technical review but a real world review and this is my absolute favorite gaming monitor until something better comes,my only issue I have is when I used my PlayStation ps4 pro i had to recalibrate because the ps4 pro is not 4k,then I had to recalibrate it for the Xbox series x again,so I don't use it for my PlayStation ps4,all in all I really love this monitor and I have no negative issues so for me it's the perfect gaming experience
Excellent. I have not one issue with performance only a slight on in cosmetic the logo light sits back to far no one can see it unless you look under
You either know, or you don't.
Great visuals and speed. Lots of ports to use. Aura Sync is a nice touch but unnecessary for me. The one problem I have the most is the delay this display has returning from sleep / standby. Mouse clicks and keyboard presses wake the computer right away, but this display doesn't respond very quickly. I found just turning the monitor off when I walk away, and on when I return with the remote is a much faster way around this. My previous monitor was almost instant in coming back from sleep / standby. This display can put out some heat.
I really love it, if not for one thing that I notice daily. When I move my mouse pointer over a black screen it changes a large area of the screen to a lighter color. That's the only time I notice it though, when the screen is black. Outside of my graphics card, this is the second most expensive part of my PC. I'd say it's nearly perfect. I have a 7900xtx and I haven't noticed any screen tearing at 4k. I also have an XBSX and it looks very good with that as well.
The monitor is amazing, it is beautiful and so far one of the best monitors I have ever owned and used! My only complaint is the logo projector isn't working but everything else works the way it should :)
Display crashed when I updated the Firmware. Sent it to the factory for warranty work and it came back not assembled correctly and the display flashes different colors. Monitor was returned back in a timely manner but with some issues still. The display's quality is great though.
