I bought this for my daughter who loves to write poetry and she absolutely loves it. It has such a great charm and writes so many letters and poems for other people. She loves it!
The letters do not have sufficient spacing. Some are touching the next letter.
This was advertised as coming with a carrying case and it only came in a BOX ! I'm very upset and haven't heard anything back from the vendors.
It types but the keys don't hit uniformly - that could be because I am no longer used to manual typewriters however. The top housing is very hard to remove to change a ribbon. I needed assistance both on and off to back on. The carrying case is just cardboard - was hoping for metal.

This company Tri-State Camera did not deliver this product (typewriter) but stated it was delivered on December 2, 2023. I was just made aware of this fact today by my Grandson's Father on December 13, 2023 but my credit card has been charged. I feel that I have been ripped off for $200
Hard to type with each key as it needs strength to make every imprint show nicely on paper. Not a good result after needing to use one finger to be able to produce enough pressure with each typed symbol. Open underside not a nice feature at all. Top cover hard to take off to access ribbon area. Hands would hurt if using this product for long. Not worth the price.
Couldnt get 2 letters to type they dont reach the ribbon or get stuck... returning w a disapointed 13yro
Since I was just buying this for my wife to use for fun, I assumed the negative reviews were from people whose standards were too high. I thought since it only needed to work occasionally for writing notes and thank you cards, that a not-great typewriter would be sufficient. I didn't realize how poor the build quality was. Put another way, I didn't realize how defective a machine could be, and still be regularly sold. It simply doesn't work in any way. Crucial machine components are made of flimsy plastic and appear designed to quickly snap off. Keystrokes rarely result in letters that register on the page at all. It's simply the poorest quality thing of any kind I have ever owned. I would guess this is something that survives as a product because people only intend to use it as a decoration, but in that case it should be marketed as a decorative typewriter replica, not a typewriter. So even if you are in the market for a decorative typewriter, please buy something else, and don't further justifying the manufacture of this sham product.
