Love this hot tub
We had a smaller intex for 5 yrs. It was time for a newer one. This one maintains the temperature. Since we live in the northeast this has been great. Even though its June we still have dips in temperature at 50o at night. Still figuring out the timer features so you don't have to run the pump 24/7. Haven't set up bluetooth yet. Easy setup.
Love this thing, we upgraded from the smaller tan I Tex hot tub. The extra features/wireless/color are all nice but really we got it for the size. I do think it's a little pricy but it's not Walmart's fault as this was the best price and even beat amazon. They had it to my door in less than 24 hours it was amazing!
I had some problems but they were easily remedied. The cord is only 6 feet long and the only place I could set up was 12 feet from nearest outdoor outlet. I had to buy a 12 gauge outdoor extension cord, though this is NOT recommended. Once the hot tub was set up and inflated, it quickly deflated. I found several cracks along the folds (it had been folded while in the box). However, I was prepared for this possibility. I sealed all cracks and potential cracks with Flex Glue then covered with waterproof Gorilla Tape. The only issue to be aware of is that the control pad automatically locks after a few minutes so the controls will not respond until you unlock it. This causes a problem if you are inflating and need to stop inflation quickly. You can hit the test button on the electrical plug for emergency shut off. After it is set up you are quite impressed until you realize no chemicals come with order. A quick trip to a pool supply or hardware store may be required. Bromide tabs and extra blue shock can get you started. I add a few drops of geranium oil as well. Enjoy and best of luck- mommadonna
Unfortunately, this product did not work out for me. It would not stay inflated. I followed all suggestions, set up guide lines, watched videos,
Wasn't bad for doing what it said it could do. For awhile it seemed like a great purchase, then the error p90 every other day, whether we had chlorine, ph balance or just well water, it seems to need cleaning constantly. It also had issues with drain hose adapter leak when using hose. Don't forget to be sure O-rings are in connections to spa or it'll leak. One connection looks twisted as well. Not bad but not exactly right for us.
great hot tub...but... filter pump does not work and unit is backordered until an undetermined date. kinda useless without proper filteration..
Received timely, but the remote unit doesn't work... rendering the tub useless since you can't filter, heat, or use the bubbles, and the Bluetooth remote is the only way to control the tub. Numerous calls to Intex customer service and they can't give a date when they might get us a new remote unit which is only the first thing that might be wrong. Not encouraging for such an expensive item.
There is a known flaw in the pump system for this hot tub. The pump WILL fail. The ceramic impeller rod WILL break. I have looked all over the internet and it seems everyone is having the same problem. Intex won't provide replacement parts. You may be able to get them on EBAY. If you do find a replacement pump it will be at least $60 and will also break. Mine did. The best you can do to keep it going is to keep tearing it apart and replacing the rod. Mine lasted approximately 6 months. I found out it was broken when I got the tub out of winter storage. That's when I started my claim. 1 year and 11 days after the ship date (not the date I actually got it). After numerous emails and calls, claims issued and cancelled, I was told it was out of warranty and hung up on! I was shocked to say the least.
the tub is missing in my order of the hot tub and the bladder will not hold air in it, i have aired it up 3x's
