There are 2 kinds...bubbler spa and jet spa. The jet spa has 4 jets that are positionable. They are located about a foot off the bottom. I am 5 ft 3 inches; the jets hit mid back when I sit up. They hit between my shoulder blades when I float and place my feet in front of the jets on the other side. They jets only run for 30 minutes at a time so you don't get overheated or fall asleep. I have the temp at 94 degrees. It feels so good that I usually run 2 30 minute cycles. During that time the time only goes down 1 or 2 degrees. You do sit on the bottom of the spa, but there is a bubble pad that goes under the spa and I folded the box in half that the spa came in and put that under the bubble pad. The water tends to lift you slightly off the bottom so you don't feel the hard ground/concrete under the spa. The spa is very sturdy, but keep the patches in a safe place. You will have to purchase the adhesive. The cover is a little difficult for one person to put in place without dunking it in the water. Make sure to thoroughly dry out cover periodically to prevent mold. The spa was easy to set up. I am a retired female and I did it myself. The most complicated part was setting up the chemicals. I went to my local pool/spa store. For about $50 I purchased 1 inch Bromine tablets, pH Up, pH Down, Shock crystals, and a small net. These chemicals will probably last a year. I also had to order filters. I was told I would probably have to change the filters weekly for the first few weeks while the water stabilizes. The water did foam...a lot...the first couple of days. I found out this is because of residue on clothes and skin; solution is rinse off before going into spa.
we never thought this would be so nice easy to put up and feels like a very nice mini vacation while we are in it !!!!
My husband has been begging for a hot tub but I am not sold on taking more land in our yard so this was the perfect compromise. I was happy enough to buy it but not convinced it would be worth the money. It took a good day (overnight and used next evening) to hear up to the proper temp. But was overall comfortable. It stated 4 person but do not attempt that as I am not sure you could even get three. Perfect for a 2 person space but next time I would likely go with a larger size. Will probably replace for a bigger one and more permanent now that I realize how much I love the hot tub being in my back yard!!
We give it 4 stars....all in all a good purchase...fairly easy to set up....we would have liked a longer power cord....and one filter is positioned so it is a tad difficult to put back on....heats up and retains heat OK....bubbles are nice...not too forceful....we would have liked it if it we 80 instead of 71.....it's good for 2 people....no more.....depth is good....we didn't get the attachment to put on the hose to remove the water, but when we're ready to do that we'll figure something out.....seemed to have a lot of factory debris inside and we used a small fish tank net to scoop the debris off the top of the water after the first 3 or 4 uses of the bubbles....but after that it seems to be clear of debris...filters are easy to clean....for the price it is a good buy.....
I cannot fit a "real" hardbody hot tub (spa) into my basement - it will not fit through the doors. So I opted for a portable, inflatable one instead. I began doing this about 7 years ago and have found that these portables break down in a very short period of time. It is never the vinyl body - that is fine. It is the heater & filter. The heater often dies and sometimes the filter dies. Why do I continue to buy them? If I pay $350 for one and it lasts only a year, over a ten year period I would pay $3,500 in total. A "real" hot tub would have cost $5,000, so I am ahead of the game. But there are more reasons - a smaller hot tub is cheaper to heat and cheaper to chlorinate (less water). So I am happy. But know this - it takes almost 24 hours to heat it, so you have to decide a day ahead if you want to use it - that is annoying. Also, the disposable filters are usually very expensive - that is annoying. The filter is not very powerful too. But all in all I am happy with this purchase - but before you buy one - consider all I said.
We bought this spa and used it for about three months, then carefully stored it. I took it out this year and it will not hold air. It leaks out in about six hours. I have spent a lot of time with soapy water trying to find the leak inside and out. I will spend more time this weekend spraying soapy water trying to find the leak. My pump and heater still works good. When the spa works it's great. I had expected to take care of this thing and get more than a few months out of it. My wife is pressuring me to get it fixed or get a new one so, that makes it even more fun. If I can find the leak, which is doubtful at this juncture, I'll update this review.
Warning don't buy: error code constantly flashes it's only a month old already been through two filters and nothing works and ZERO customer service options for Canada. This product is not worth the money or headache.
I really wish I could give this spa a good review because it seems really nice, but for 4 weeks now I have not been able to use it. In mid June I ordered a Lazy Spa Miami model and it arrived within 4 days. After setting it up I realized the heater did not work in the pump. I immediately contacted the company and asked for a replacement. 3 weeks later I am still waiting. I was told that it would ship any day, and today I was told that there is none in inventory and it can be weeks before I get it. I bought this spa at the beginning of summer so I can enjoy it and now my summer is slipping away week by week. Customer service, although polite, has been giving me the runaround. It is frustrating that in 2016 a company is run this way. They want people to buy their product, but they don't provide support after the purchase OR they don't have stock for replacement parts??? Faulty out of the box products are one thing that I can't tolerate at all. Are there no QC people where ever this is built? One more thing: their complaint link on their web site doesn't work.
Everything great for months - then all of a sudden ours is sucking water into the air part of the tub, there's a pipe inside and the clamp came off is the reason why. They sent a new one, used it 5 times and again same problem is starting and the air area is starting to slowly fill with water. Suspect the pipe clamp has come off. Don't think we've done anything to cause this problem - 2 people using responsibly on level ground. Footnote: I haven't found anyone else having this problem, so that's worrisome. Again, set up directions were followed and no abuse so ????
These inflatable Spas are great, until the heater on the pump goes out, mine did in less than a year. Bestway has horrible customer service, and they will do what ever it takes not to replace the faulty pump. If you have the money to throw away, and want to use these Spas for around six months max, then by all means buy one, but do not expect any support from Bestway.
