Outside Sona, Michael's brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) tries to get his sibling transferred to another prison, but his efforts are derailed when Michael's love interest Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) and Lincoln's son LJ (Marshall Allman) are kidnapped by a merciless operative who calls herself Susan B. In order to save Sara and LJ, she tells Lincoln that Michael must locate fellow prisoner James Whistler (Chris Vance), who has information coveted by The Company, and break him out of Sona. Lincoln serves as the middleman between Michael and the operative while also relying on the help of Fernando Sucre (Amaury Nolasco), Michael's cellmate at Fox River, to facilitate the breakout.
