We bought this from Walmart because of the price. Walmart had it listed and shipped free for about 85 dollars while Amazon listed it for about 150 dollars. We purchased the machine specifically for making pie dough. My wife's hands are getting too old to do that anymore, but she has always made the best pie crust by hand. The machine has not disappointed us in anyway. We bought our first Kitchenaid in the 70's when they were still hobart, and we have another "Pro" model Kitchen aid mixer for larger bread dough batches. Our only negative is the plastic case of the machine, but considering the price a buyer can easily overlook that. The machine literally operates for only a few seconds to make a perfect pie dough. We used the Kitchenaid recipe (much to my amazement LOL) and it was just outstanding!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced my Cuisinart food processor with a new KitchenAid 9 cup one. Very easy to use, great blades for all my needs, chopping ,shredding and slicing. It's very easy to clean as well. Great product. In addition storing all pieces in the bowl is a space saver!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, simply, wow. I am so amazed at everything this food processor does! I am able to slice, mix, chop, whisk, etc. all with one machine which is great but then to be able to store the different parts of the processor inside the work bowl is just fantastic. It saves me space as well as time since I will not have to search through drawers and cabinets to find the accessory I need. I also love that it comes with a fridge lid so when I make a ton of salsa (and the container holds up to 9 cups so I can make enough for everyone plus have leftover) it easily stores in the work bowl instead of having to dirty another dish. So far this week I have used it to chop and slice veggies (fyi it even slices mushrooms so nicely!), whisk some cream, shred cheese and mix my salsa. This is perfect for anyone who needs or wants different kitchen electronics such as a mixer, shredder, and so on but in 1 machine. It is also great for people without a lot of counter space since it is only 1 device with super easy storage for accessories instead of having a hand mixer, cheese grater, chopper, and all taking up space in your drawers and cabinets. The processor itself isn't really loud and it does everything so quickly. I am so in love with this food processor and can't wait to use all the accessories in preparation for future meals!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel like a professional cook when using this processor. It's heavy duty and the craftsmanship is of the caliber that KitchenAid is known for. What I like most about it is that it's super easy to operate and clean. Another great feature is that many of the attachments can be stored in the work bowl, which saves space and reduces the chances of pieces getting lost. I have used the processor to shred vegetables, such as carrots for coleslaw, and chop nuts for making chocolate candy, etc., and am very impressed by it. It is quick and powerful, without being too loud. My confidence in cooking has skyrocketed ever since I started using it and I am looking forward to using it to experiment with many new recipes. I highly recommend adding this processor to your kitchen. It will save you a lot of time and allow you to cook and prepare foods like a pro.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this one because I have the 7 cup and I wanted the dough blade and the whisk attachment and I found it just as cheap to buy this one with all the attachments than buying the attachments separately.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) In general, it's good and doing the job as required, and the included accessories enables to make variety of cutting, however, the cup is not durable as it should be and the handle is not attached well now in less than a year of usage. There are 2 small weak bins at the bottom to attach the handle broken easily and the habdle now is always loose
Just purchased this food processor and used it once but there are already chips at the bottom of the blender cup.
Handle broke off the bowl after only a few months of use, very disappointing and likely due to cheap plastic.
Hi. My food processor started to break off plastic parts almost day 1. I'm a busy working mom… so I put up with it and didn't feel like returning it and repackaging etc. The lock broke off with in a week. I have to push down with my one hand to make it “think” it's locked. I put up with this because I honest.y can't deal with all the poorly made hard plastic destroying our trash piles. But now I'm upset. The top of the black handle broke, broke first, and has been hanging on…I was hand rinsing it and the weight of having water in the mixing bowl snapped off the junk plastic handle. I am just sad to buy something that is encased in junky plastic parts. A great motor and metal blades—- in soft snapping off plastic. I'm not the only one. I am writing this bc I see others with same areas of issues. Mine has broken in 3 different locations. Lid closure broken. Gone. Top of black handle.snapped. Now fully black handle snapped off. All sitting in a pile on my counter top. Annoyed. Environmentally wasteful product. I'm a designer and architect— spec better materials for your products. They exist. And there's enough complaints here to indicate you are using inferior plastic mixtures to form your parts. Don't just look at numbers sold- look at those returned and adding to land fills.
I don't usually write reviews but feel I have to this time. When my old food processor died on me after many years of use, I decided to purchase a Kitchenaid 9 cups Food Processor because of the brand's good reputation. I am very disappointed with this product. It doesn't get hummus smooth enough ( I have to finish my hummus in the blender which is really annoying) and making pesto in this thing is a catastrophe. It doesn't purée into a fine enough texture and the mix turns almost brown by the time you are done. I regret my purchase. I only used it a few times. I wish I could return it and get my money back.
