This little coffee pot was worth the wait. Its perfect for a senior citizen. Auto shut off in 2 hrs, the lighted time stays on 24/7 so you can read time at night. Perfect!!!
I have used this coffee maker for probably over 20 years. When one goes out I purchase another. Love being able to get a single cup as it is brewing and the two hour hold time.
I didn't need a coffeemaker with all the bells and whistles, and I didn't want a single-cup coffeemaker either. I just needed a coffee pot that could make coffee to my desired strength (there's plenty of room in the basket for as much coffee as you could possibly need). I like that this one has a lid that flips open from the front and snaps securely closed. It makes a nice, hot cup of coffee. It's easy to operate, and I really like the thick handle. I have fibromyalgia so my grip isn't what it used to be, and this carafe handle helps me keep things steady. I like the pause feature, I have a family member who never wants to wait for the full pot to brew so this comes in handy, as does the auto function. I've seen other reviewers mention it doesn't make a full 12 cups, it will if you fill it to the top of the chamber (just below the holes in the back, or to the top of the clear viewing window where the water measurement is shown. I do that and I haven't had any leaks and I get a full 12 cups.
Love this coffee pot! It's reliable and the set-ahead feature is a lifesaver for early mornings. The only quirk I don't love is that even if you take the pot out while it's brewing to “sneak a cup” it'll continue leaking, which damages the hot plate underneath. Not a big deal though…just wait the extra 5min until the rest of the pot is done. If you set it ahead so it's finished before you wake up you won't even be tempted to do this ;) For sure the best deal for the price in my opinion and the only reason we've ever replaced ours is because we broke the glass carafe by dropping it or something. The machine itself has never given us any issues.
My new coffee pot stopped working two weeks after purchase. It had a quality control sticker. I won't be purchasing another black and decker coffee pot.
Unfortunately, I received a used item. The manual was wet and warped. The water compartment had a leak. This item was resold after being returned once. I reached out to Black and Decker and returned the item. After owning 2 different Black and Decker for 25 years since they were affordable and reliable. I decided on a Mr Coffee instead and I absolutely love it!
I was gifted a broken maker. When I registered it to get a new one, I was sent one a month later that was also broken.
ORDERED THIS ON THE 2ND NEVER CAME AFTER THE HECK I WENT THREW ON EMAILS 1 800 NUMBERS AND SO ON AND SO ON FINALLY GOT MAIN MANAGER SENT ONE THEY ORDERED BUT MINE IS STILL PENDING TRACKING THEY SAID THEY SWITCHED FROM UPS TO FED EX I GOT UPS TRACKING STILL NO ITEM HUMMM OH I ONLY ORDERED FROM WALMART.COM HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEM DUMMY HAVE YOU NOT HEARD OF SHIPPED AND SOLD BY SPECTRUM BRANDS ON WALMART.COM MARKET PLACE??????? GEE I WAS HURRASSED BY YOUR 1 800 NUMBER AND MADE TO LOOK STUPID WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN VERY GOOD PRODUCT BUT DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM YOU WILL NOT GET IT AND TO THINK THEY ARE BLACK AND DECKER AND RIMMINGTON MAIN COMPANY THIS IS NOT A WALMART.COM ITEM NOR AVALIBLE IN MY LOCAL STORE ANYMORE HOPE THIS HELPS THE NEXT BUYER GOOD PRODUCT THOE OH SOME HOW I AM NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE SELLER FEED BACK THOE BUTTON IS NOT THERE HAVE A BLESSED DAY.....
I would put water in for 8 cups of coffee and got 2 cups. I had already thrown the box away because I have purchased several Black and Decker coffee pots in the past and never had a problem. I unplugged this one because I was afraid it was going to catch on fire just from the smell after coffee brewed. Guess I'm stuck with it because it was delivered and I don't have receipt or box
Don't purchase when sold and shipped from Blumoi Ecom LLC. I reported that my order was never delivered to MY address. They sent a picture of the delivery and it wasn't my house address or my house. They claimed that they would resend to the proper address and I've not seen or heard anything further.
