Look at these photos! The quality even on a windy day is incredible! I bought a $50 drone a while ago and it doesn't compare. The strength of this drone is very strong fighting through really windy days at the beach. The battery lasts a long time, and the camera has a crazy 180 degree range. I'm impressed with vivitar's case. It's pretty big, but it came with an extra battery, extra wings, so that's really nice. Sometimes I see some lag on my phone screen from the drone camera, but it takes a second and fixes itself. I haven't tried the go home function, or a lot of the settings, but I'll get there.
My husband has been wanting to get a drone with good specifications that wouldnt break the bank. This is an excellent choice because it has a lot of the features of some of the more expensive models that meets our needs. For starters, this is a foldable drone so its compact and even comes with a nice carrying case for easy and convenient transport. This drone is equipped with a 2K video resolution camera which is able to adjust 180 degrees to capture videos from different angles. The only feature lacking is an image stabilizer for more stable footage. This requires a microSD card to save your media which is not included so you will have to purchase separately. This drone comes with two rechargeable batteries which can be flown for a combined time of over half an hour which is nice. This drone also comes with a phone holder to easily fly and control your device with using your mobile phone. There is a free mobile app that can be downloaded called Vivitar Aeroview thats compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones. This drone has intelligent GPS so you can keep track of your drone during flight and has a cool Follow Me feature. Additionally, this has 2000 foot flight range which is impressive.
I like the look of the carbon fiber case, its actually plastic. Comes with 2 rechargeable batteries. 40 minutes of flight time was a huge plus for buying this. Comes with extra propellers! Doesn't feel premium, light weight.
This drone is good for beginners and novice users. I enjoyed enabling the blue tooth on my phone and drone while h allowed me to take some amazing Ariel photos and videos. I am glad that it has an emergency landing button as I experienced a wind gust that could have been problematic. Fun for the whole family.
Being first time drone operators, I was worried we'd bit off more than we could chew, and it would be frustrating or difficult, but this drone was easy to learn and fun to fly! It came with everything we needed to get flying, so the day after it arrived my teenaged son took it to a large field and put it through its paces. The one touch take off and return button is super convenient and goes a long way to making it an easy experience. He flew it out 2,000 feet no problem. The limit and low battery warning came in handy as well. As others have mentioned the great quality of the pictures came as a pleasant surprise. All in all, we've been having a fun time and only wish the batteries lasted longer!
I am pleased with the performance of this drone so far. This is my first real drone after I tried several toy drones that were utter crap. The photo and video quality of this drone is decent, not quite good enough for publication, but certainly good for personal use or social media. As with any drones, there is a steep learning curve for getting the drone to go where you want and return successfully. This drone has several features that are way in advanced of the toy drones that I have tried, like the GPS mode, which holds the drone pretty steady in fixed positions (unless its really windy). The home function and phone pairing are also handy, especially if you happen to let the drone go a bit further than you intended. On the other hand, this drone doesnt have the image stabilization capabilities of the expensive professional drones, so expect some shakiness in the videos, especially on windy days.
I was anxious about learning to fly a drone, but the included instructions, app, and YouTube videos makes this model easy to use. The return to home feature is great. I also really like that the controller has an info display screen and a phone holder for the app. The case that comes with it is really nice - it holds everything nicely and feels quite protective. Just a note that the included charger only seems to work with is it's included usb-c cable. It did not power on with my iPad charger.
This drone has seriously has impressed me. It is well packaged and comes in a nice case. Also comes with a secondary battery, spare blades and a screwdriver. The drone is well built and extremely light. The drone is foldable and fits nicely in the case to avoid damage when not used. Now on to the nitty gritty.. I wanted to test it more than 5 times before I gave it a full detailed review. Flying and controlling the drone; simple for beginners. It has some added features such as return home, hove over, and GPS which I've seen in more expensive drones. So you're getting additional features on an economically priced drone.The remote control is easy to use and ergonomically friendly. The drone is nimble and the controls are incredibly smooth. We have done several flips, turns and tricks and the drone simply stabilizes itself. The drone is very controllable even when there is a breeze. It has 3 speeds and has a limit you can set for flying; this is great for a supervised child with a restricted speed and hight. One of my favorite features are the vertical landing lights. They are extremely bright at night and this allows you to see the drone at great hights. Therefore, drone time is not limited to daytime only. Total flying time has been from 25 to 30 minutes. It would be great to have an hour but that would set you back about a thousand dollars. You can take videos and pictures directly from the remote or app you need to download. The app it uses is compatible with Android and other operating system based devices. I have been able to install it on 2 phones and one tablet. This makes it easier to share with family members and does not bind us to one device. You can add a mini SD card in the drone itself and retrieve the pictures and videos you take but it is not necessary. I have used it with and without the mini SD card and resolution is not altered. You can save your videos in real time. The camera has a 180 degree view. The resolution is more than what I expected for the price I purchased the drone for. I have attached some great pictures we have been able to capture and WOW. It would have been great to upload a video because again, the resolution is impressive. Overall, I strongly believe I made the correct purchase. Lots of bells and whistles like the expensive drone's but at a price I can afford.
The GPS system is nothing short of amazing, as it is remarkably easy to operate. Having a remote with a screen that displays real-time altitude, distance, battery life, and flight duration is extremely crucial for drones with extensive range capabilities. To navigate safely around trees and powerlines, it is absolutely essential to have both return-to-home and altitude control features. While the camera could have been slightly better, considering the price and abundance of other features, it is a small sacrifice that does not discourage me in any way. When it comes to aerial photography, there will undoubtedly be good and bad days depending on lighting conditions and various factors. As an advanced user of drones and other remote-controlled devices, especially in terms of modifications and upgrades, I can confidently say that this drone requires no tinkering and performs exceptionally well straight out of the box. The only upgrade the disc camera can use is a better camera, but for now I am in love with this drone and I can say it is a pleasure to fly and would absolutely recommend this product to anybody who is interested in having a well built drone.
Cheap for the price. Camera quality sucks. Fly's In the wrong direction. And Walmart CS sucks just as bad.
