received this transport wheelchair about a week and a half ago. It looks like it is well made, sturdy, very little assembly which was easy ( just wheels and foot rests). We used this wheel chair once already and we are happy with it. Fast shipping and very good price from Walmart.com. My wife didn't want a wheel chair with the big wheels and the Carex transport wheelchair is lighter and easier to handle than a regular big wheel wheelchair.
I bought this for my mother who is 95 and can't walk very far anymore. It's small enough to fit in the trunk of the car and has been a life saver for doctor appts etc. In these times it is much safer than using the public wheelchairs that are being used by multiple people all day too. Very well constructed and small enough to maneuver in crowded restaurants, stores, etc. Wish I had bought one sooner.
What do I like or dislike what should shoppers know before shopping that the product you buy is accurate and of good quality.

Okay so while putting it together I had a part that was not going to fit the screw. It was not welded correctly. I called the manufacturer and they didn't have it. Walmart is sending me a whole new chair.
As advertised, lite weight, easy to assemble, sharp looking and handles easily by the care giver. My personal dislike is the height of the chair. Although it sets very comfortably, it is very hard to get out of due to its distance from the floor (too short), making it hard to push myself upward and out of the chair. I'v tried to use it here at home and it's just too hard to get out of , thus I will return it; however I do recommend it to folks who are short %26 in need of a good transport chair~This CAREX transport chair is just what you need.
The add clearly states that it comes assembled and ready to use right out of the box. It does not. Assembly is easy but make sure you allow time for that if this purchase is a last minute need. The chair itself is fine. One handle doesn't want to latch upright and takes a bit of work to latch. Other than that. It's ok
The description said it came pre-assembled, it did not. It also required a wrench that was not provided. The pre-assembled foot rests came backwards. The foldable back does not click into place easily, requiring a lot of force. The foot rests obstruct the front wheels when going backwards.
Company sells USED items as NEW- beware!!! Bought a brand new wheelchair to assist my mom in appointments and getting out of the house. When it arrived it was clearly used. They want to deny that this is the case even with pictures of the damage and the condition it arrived in. Failed to take any accountability. Walmart did step in and help but I’d never purchase anything from this company.
