Raised toilet seats are very helpful, but you need to buy this hinged kind. It allows you to easily clean it and underneath it as well. This model is lightweight yet very sturdy (holds 300 lbs). You install it on the bowl and then put your existing toilet seat on top of it. It comes with long screws that go through both the raised seat and your current toilet seat. I highly recommend it.

We have bought many, i mean meany toilet seat risers between my folks and I. This is the best we ever bought!!! It is perfect and so easy to keep clean. When we got ours and put it on the toilet, we immediately bought another to put on our folks toilet.
The first one didn't fit as we needed the oblong sized one and we got the round one and were unable to return even if it hadn't been used or attached to a toilet. when we saw the picture on the box we knew it was wrong. But policy is policy so we ate the $35 and ordered a new one that was the right fit. Its perfect for our mom and she'll be a happy camper now that she doesn't have to sit so low and hurt her back.
I thought I was going to have a easy time. Little did I know that when I bought a new toliet system , there toliet seat was to small for the 6" long fat bolts (screws) that came with the hinged toliet seat! After trying to find a 6" narrow long bolt (screws) for 2 hours , I gave up! So I just bought a new toliet seat that fit that huge 6" bolt ! Problem solved. Except what do I do with the original ( new) toliet seat? Other than that, it works great! Easier to clean!
I bought this because I have Fibromyalgia and at times have a difficult time getting up from our very low toilet. My husband installed it following the directions but it doesn't seem to fit securely. It moves from side to side but doesn't seem to be dangerous. That's really my only complaint. I'm sure a handy person could figure out a way to keep it more stationary. My hubby is not handy, so mine will continue to move! Lol All in all, it's working well and serves it's purpose!
I purchased this for a family member and on the day I received it they informed me they had purchased a handicap toilet. I did not even open the wal mart box it came in and started a return the same day. No word from wal mart or the company who sells it. Now it states on website that return window was the same day I received it. NOT HAPPY!
I hope to give a better review once I receive the product from another company.
I specifically asked for an oval seat riser. When it came the box was all torn and taped together. Inside was a Round lift. Of course it was unusable. It is still in the box waiting to be returned. I am handicapped and cannot walk or drive and it is incredibly frustrating to receive whatever the workers pick up. It was apparent this box had been opened and returned. I donate most of these ‘mistakes' but no more. I will look for a more reliable mail order.
walmart should say in the duscription of the product if it cannot be returned. these seats are not for a round toilet...as stated. they dont fit and i bought 2 thats almost $80!! as i was starting a return it said on line that they are not elegible for return..
