We brought home a baby 6 weeks ago and we just finished up her nursery. I love that I was able to get this as I want the air in her room as clean as possible when she sleeps. Wonderful product, you can tell the difference just walking into her room. Hopefully lasts a long time.
I had the most peaceful sleep than I have had in a while. I have had severe sinus problems for years. This purifier has collected everything that was affecting me. I wake up well rested and clear of sinus drainage. Who knew?! I give this purifier 10 stars
This Air purifier is so nice! Its the perfect size for my house! I definitely want to get one more but I think that's all I'd need is one more! The delivery & packaging was great I read the directions but also watched an online video to make sure I was putting it together right LOL! The cord was absolutely long enough to put it wherever you need. It's very quiet you don't even know it's on. The controls are on the top & they light up really nice and there's even a energy saver setting! I've only had my new Air Purifier a week but so far I am very happy with it I can tell it's cleaning the air by looking at the filter LOL! I look forward to getting another one and finally breathing better! I will come back and make an update in a cpl months!!!
I'm pretty much blown away by this machine. I wasn't 100% convinced that it would make a difference. But it does! The air feels crisper and cleaner. It feels a bit more like you are breathing air from outside if that makes sense. Our indoor allergies have also improved, we don't sneeze like we used to and the headaches are gone. I also love that the filters don't have to be replaced as often. It really is a fantastic investment for your home and family. I'm so glad I have one.
I'm truly amazed by the Westinghouse air purifier, I have really bad allergies and this has made them much easier. The air purifier covers 400 sq ft., so it's good for a large room. It has 10 fan speeds, turbo and eco modes. Really easy to take out of the box and put the filter in it. I really like the touch control panel and child lock. The air purifier isn't heavy like I thought it would be, very light weight, but does the job.
Since I do not have any sophisticated air quality testing equipment I cannot tell you if this unit is working as it says it should referring to its statement of "decomposes toxic air and turns it into harmless carbon dioxide and water molecules". With that said I will say that from the first day I started using it I noticed a difference in our house. The air did start to seem crisper and cleaner. After a few days you will also start seeing a thin layer of dust accumulation on the pre-filter which indicates that the air is definitely flowing through the unit. I have only been using it on eco mode, running 24/7. I believe it said the ncco filter can last up to 11,000 hours so I figure in echo mode I'll get the longest use out of it and that setting seems to be working fine for my needs in our house. The HEPA filter says it lasts up to 3,000 hours. It was very easy to set up and get running. All you really need to do is follow the directions of installing the filters and turn it on. Unfortunately it is not as quiet as I would like it to be, even in eco mode. The fan sounds a little rattly but that could just be the unit that I ended up with. Either way it is not enough to bother me and I figure the benefits outweigh a little noise in the house and I use the word noise lightly. I placed ours near a house return air vent thinking that when the furnace is running it will draw air into that area and help circulate more air through the air purifier unit. If I'm reading the instructions right it appears that the unit will indicate when the HEPA or ncco filter are in need of replacement.
I had never used an Air Purifier before. So I was hoping for a Good experience with this Westinghouse Air Purifier. Especially for my allergies. After using it for a week . I did notice a significant change in my allergy symptoms. The air quality was very different. No musty odors or any other funky odors that build up in your room. I have a cat and his hair used to make me sneeze. Mainly at night for some reason, I did notice I stopped sneezing at night. My bedroom gets very dusty but there's been little to no dust now. I am in awe of this little machine. That has made such a Huge Difference in my day to day living. I wish I would have gotten one sooner. I think it's a must have for any allergy sufferer. It's not loud or distracting either. And is just the right size . So it doesn't take up a lot of unnecessary space . I like that it has 10 speeds. So I can adjust how slow or fast I want it. Before I tried this air purifier. I was struggling with my allergies. And I can't get over how much better they have gotten. I can't say enough good things about it. Because really you have to try it for yourself. It's a very well made product and I highly recommend it.
The Westinghouse NCCO (Nano Confined Catalytic Oxidation) Air Purifier has a medical grade air purification technology system. It uses 4 stages of air purification: pre-filter - which removes dust and hair, oxygen generator - which eliminates allergens, bacterias & viruses. Also included is a HEPA filter - that helps eliminate microbes, fungi and smoke. A NCCO reactor - which removes foul odors while oxidizing and decomposing harmful organic compounds and formaldehyde. This unit is compact, with dimensions approximately 18" in height, 12" in length and 7" in width. It has a back-lit control panel with 10 fan speeds, turbo and economy modes. This unit is good for small rooms. In my case, one of my basement rooms, at times, has an issue of a molding smell which has been an ongoing problem and with this 1701 model unit it has practically eliminated the odor, but it needs to run at a high level fan speed in a room that's 12' x 12' throughout the night. I feel this helps, but I may need to invest in a dehumidifier. A couple of negative issues about this unit: the location of the handle to carry the unit is at a disadvantage; if the unit is on, your hand will touch the control panel and change the settings. So don't move the unit while on, in order to avoid this issue. Another thing is the box states it's good for 400 sq ft., but the website states only good for 300 sq ft. Additionally, the box states it has a child lock & memory function, but the website doesn't mention these feature at all and are not available on the unit either. Finally, the instruction manual does not show the proper way to install the filters, so I highly recommend going to their instructional video online. Overall, it serves it's purpose and I'm content with this product.
I got this for my in-laws house. My M-I-L isn't doing well, and figured this wouldn't hurt. It was a bit difficult to get the filter in place. Once I got it inserted, and closed up the unit, it was smooth sailing. To change the speed/power, you slide your finger across the front of the top, or tap the -/+ symbols. The only way to know if it's effective is to check the pre-filter, which you are supposed to clean regularly. It's pretty quiet on Eco mode, but high speed or turbo causes a bit of a rattle.
This product has been working great in our master bedroom! It is quiet enough to not disturb our sleep yet the humming is like a white noise helping us get to sleep. The room smells fresh all of the time, so we are going to be getting more for the rest of our place.
