We love this little fireplace. We spraypainted it with rustoleoum high heat black paint to keep it from rusting, and installed a small set of ceramic logs and black lava rock with a log lighter underneath, attached to a propane tank with an 8 ft. hose. (Had to cut a small hole in the side mesh for the log lighter to go through.) The fireplace sits at the corner of our covered deck, with the tank hidden under the deck. Now we can have an instant fire without worrying about hot embers setting our deck ablaze.
Beautiful! Nice little chimney so most of the smoke goes up!
This fireplace adds character and charm to our backyard. Somehow the ambiance of the fire burning in it is more amazing than a regular fire pit. Very pleased with this item. it shipped very quick, way before the promised date.
Not as big as expected from the pictures, but does the job. Perfect for our patio.

I looked at a variety of outdoor fireplaces and I really liked the look of this one. The reviews basically told me it was not that great but for $169.00 I thought even if it last one season it will be nice to look at. It was pretty simple to put together - - took me less than 30 minutes. Its a bit out of alignment and the door sticks a bit. We started out with a duraflame log and added real logs - one at a time. It throws off no heat unless you are standing right in front of it - - even then not so much. The smoke does go up the flume but also come out the front and sides. The biggest problem I had was there is a tray that slide in the bottom to catch the ash and it does not line up perfectly so small pieces of hot ash would fall through onto my deck. I am going to get some brick to put under. Also, I thought it said it came with a cover, but no cover and not fire poker. I had an old chair cover I used because I think it would rust quickly if let out in the rain. All in all I like it for the ambience and the price.
I ordered this fireplace for a small patio and even though I checked the dimensions I found it looked lost on the patio since it was far too small and had too small a firebox to accept normal size split wood. Quality of the metal is very poor for something that is intended to be used outdoors. Very disappointed.
The hood was dented and scratched. I am waiting on a new hood to arrive.
Very disappointed with the size and quality of this product. Thought it would be bigger and higher off the ground. For the price it is not worth it.
Much smaller than I thought it would be! After just the first fire the "cone" and "chimney" started to rust!!!
